All Too Easy...

This story begins near the mines directly west of Trinsic.  I had found 30 ignots earlier in my travels and had no use for them, so I was going to donate them to a miner (and secretly take something in return =).  As I entered the cave, a fellow named Lopatar promptly entered war mode...

"Be my guest." I said.

"What?" Lopatar said.

"I insist, please." I replied.

He remained silent.

"Please be so kind as to attack me.  You were ready to do so a few seconds ago, why not now?  Come... show me thy might." I said.

"sec..." he replied, and turned around and ran through the mines.

I sat where I was and awaited his return.  As I expected, he brought some backup.

"Hast thou reconsidered?" I asked.

"dej mu rec naj vrne rudo" he spoke to his friend.  (If anyone knows what that means please tell me =)

"Ah I see, a cowardly double-team." I said.

*Gnu'durh is attacking you!*
*Lopatar is attacking you!*

"DEATH TO THEE, PATHETIC COWARDS!" I yelled as I entered war mode and jumped into combat.

The battle was bloody, unfortunetly for my attackers, 'twas their blood that was spilled.  Lopatar's parnter, Gnu'durh was quickly taken down to less than half of his hp.

"Run" said a nearby spectator, Roland Deschain.

"Come help!" yelled Gnu'durh as he backed away from combat.

"'Tis thine turn.  Thou wilt regret thine actions, swine!" I yelled to Lopatar as I switched opponents and focused my attack on him.

Roland entered war mode and began to inch closer to the fighting.

"Please Roland, ask not for thine death." I cautioned him.

You see Roland Deschain attacking Gnu'durh!  What?  He was helping me?  I was both amused and overjoyed.  Overjoyed that someone would actually take my side in a fight, and amused because the last thing I needed was help from a miner brandishing a pickaxe.

"Crap.  I hit one of you.  I'm dishonorable!" he cried.

Hah, so the pathetic weakling had mistakenly hit those who he was intending to defend.  He shall pay dearly for this offense.  Gnu'durh had returned to combat after seeing Roland join in.  It was now 3 on 1.  Roland was at full health, Lopatar at half, and Gnu'durh also at half.  The sounds of halberds slicing ringed through the air, however, the air was the only thing the halberds were slicing through.  I had dodged most of the hits.  "HRNNGHH" was heard from the mouth of Gnu'durh as he attemped to flee but was pierced in the back by my war fork.  One down, two to go.  I continued my attack on Lopatar and brought him to 1/4 life.  He began to flee and I decided not to give chase, for Roland the pathetic fool who interefered deserved death more than Lopatar.

"Thine friends have fled, doth thou feel as powerful now?" I said.

Apparently not, he took off running outside the cave.

"Take my ore but please don't kill me." said Julious, a nearby miner who was dragging his ore outside the cave.  Hehe, poor guy.  He had no idea what was actually going on.

"THY HEAD IS MINE KNAVE!" I yelled as I pursued him.

Outside I noticed Roland standing beside a fellow armed in chain and a bow.  The archer entered war mode and began to head in my direction.

"I am not a pk, I am fighting in self defense!" I yelled to the archer.

"Oh, ok." said the archer.  He exited from war mode and continued his previous course north and away from the fighting.  I laughed to myself and thought of little Roland's future pain.

He continued running east back toward Trinsic.  My war fork had wounded him in the back and reduced his hp down to 1/3 after 2 or 3 hits.  He was slowly making his way back to town.  He stopped all of a sudden, probably from loss of stamina.

"I regret to inform thee that thou'rt dead." I said as I bowed to him and introduced my war fork to his already bloody torso.

He fell to the ground with a large thump and was silent.  I informed his ghost that I had no intention of killing him, and that he would have been fine had he not interfered in my battle.  Too late for him now.  I took his armor and ignots, and the armor and weapon of Gnu'durh as trophies of victory.  I returned to the mines and gave the ignots I had looted to Julious and the other miner who was next to him.

Moral of this Story:  If you AND a friend armed with halberds gang up on one person and that person does not run... IT IS PROBABLY CAUSE HE KNOWS HE CAN KILL YOU WITH EASE!  Duh, Gnu'durh had the right idea when he ran off during the fight, but the wrong idea when he returned.  If you're gonna flee with your tail between your legs then do it and don't come back.  Oh and a suggestion to those who feel they are like Roland the little spectator.  If you have to choose sides, don't choose the one that's losing. LoL.
