Then along comes a fellow named Dragonfire. He's decked out in his pretty black plate and riding a lame ass horse. Knowing quite well that if I stole from this guy he'd be able to catch me, I reached into Dragonfire's pouch and snagged myself a few bolts and I immediately jetted south. It wasn't long before he was on me, so I ran toward a house and made my hiding spot right along the east wall. He had yet to successfully hit me with his heavy xbow, so I waited till he got close enough and I grabbed his remaining 93 bolts and then just kinda stood there. He of course attacked me but I had to bow and he apparently thought he still had more bolts with which to impale me. So, I started off running and hid next to the house to the south.

About that time, a fellow named Leo trots up on yet another horse and he's immediately briefed by Dragonfire on the situation..."Thief," Dragonfire says.

"Where?" responds the inquisitive Leo.

"Right here in front of me," the goofball Dragonfire replies.

"In Flam Grav" is how most of my conversations with new people begin and this one was no different. I still had Dragonfire's pack open, so I reached in and grabbed some arrows and took off to hide behind the next house to the south.

During this entire charade, I was lagged beyond belief and my friends Leo and Dragonfire had time to equip their halberds and play butcher on me. However, only Leo did substantial damage so I managed to live having about 25 of 62 hitpoints left.

This is where things turned around for my new found friends. Dragonfire had removed his heavy xbow, which I promptly grabbed at the next house. Now I was packing a little heat of my own :)

Finally, some action! :) This heavy xbow must have been crafted by quite a good bowyer, cuz one shot on Dragonfire put him to 2/3 health. He immediately took off running like the monkey boy that he was. I pursued for about a minute but his powerful steed was much too fast for me to keep up.

"Hello Leo," I said with the most evil grin as a bolt flew his way taking him to 2/3 health. He trotted in on his horse and chopped me with his shiny new halberd doing about 15 damage and taking me to about 3/4 health....Keep in mind I'm still not wearing any armor.

*Thwap* and another bolt impales Leo taking him to 1/2 health and he takes off! The chase is on and I LOVE a good chase! Unfortunately for Leo, his horse was apparently a lemon for I was easily able to keep up with him and within two more bolts, he was tasting the salty earth below his horse. I quickly suited up with Leo's fine goods and greater heals and made my way to town to sell his junk. Just as I get through the mountain pass, I see the message "Thief!" just off the side of the screen as Dragonfire comes moseying up along side me.

He went on and on about me being a pussy and how he could take me one on one. I invited him to the bank where I told him I would battle him one on one with my spear. I quickly sold Leo's things and returned to the bank to meet up with "the idiot" as I now refer to him. Apparently, he had not been playing UO too long for he insisted that I attack him. I explained to him that he would have to attack me since I was perma-flagged to him.
