Walking near the Chaos shrine I notice a miner (Since I cant remember his allsoforgetable Japanese name lets call him VictimX), and with no free smiths around or vendors that I could see, I knew I had yet another house in my grasp. I walk up snoop and take his key ring. He didn't notice, so everything was still going good. I walk up a little bit and try the first house I see, Yay!
While I'm looking through his goods, 50 some Platemail gorgets and a lot, I mean ALOT of Greater Heals, he comes walking up to the door. I guess he figures out what happened to him and he recalls. Now I figure the only problem is me getting everything out of the house before he comes back and cleans it. I look around some more and then POOF! A character named CASUAL (Yay! A real English word for a name) logs into the house. I quickly hide hoping I do it before he sees me, I do. He looks around and stops for about a minute. I take a guess and figured that he had logged out. Oooo! He's wearing Magic Plate, I want! I want! Too bad for me I have to combat skills, Ill have to be creative... I look into the bag next to me and find about 70 Greater Explodes, this is going to be fun. BAM BAM BAM BAM On the verge of death! Then come the words that every rogue hates, especially the ones with very minimal combat skills and a somewhat limited supply of ammo.
"In Vas Mani" CASUAL chants, Back to full HP! The bastard.
"Hail! Nice house!" I finally manage to say something, not that I expect him to understand what I'm saying.
"Corp Por" Gee, that wasn't expected..... Thank god I resist it. I walk up to him grab his pearl and then his Drake so no more healing for him.
"MY HOUSE" He yells
"No, my house...." I throw some purples at him taking him to half life.
"Corp Por" he tries to cast, quite unsuccessfully, as I know for a fact he doesn't have any pearl. I throw another purple.
"No pearl, eh?" I chant, throwing another purple, missing him. He equips a War Mace and starts banging on me for a good 5 points a hit =p
"You die now my friend" I state. The last words of our
conversation, but not quite accurate. Two more purples take him to about
5 hps in my
"UUUGHHHH!" He's down, and much to my surprise and utter
joy, he has the keys and runes for another house. As I take his magic plate,
The only "Hello! Is this your friend?" I ask
"Vas Corp Por" RogueKiller responds. Why the hell doesn't
he just Corp Por me? I'm blue now!!! God I love this patch. Now that I think
about it "Yay another boy to toy with!" I run up to him and start
snooping, he keeps trying to cast a EV, fizzling all the way. I steal his
pearl. He responds by equipping a XBow, the bane of me. Not wanting to risk
losing all this loot, not to mention the loot to come, I run, I run like
a little bastard all the way back to my Vendor in Oasis. I recall off of
one of the runes I picked up labeled Shintayoz (Or something like that)
Box, seeing that I have a key that matches. Much to my surprise its in Oasis also, about 2 screens down from my Vendor. Loot
found in that house included 20 or some Plate Arms, TONS of more potions,
and some other nice magic weapons and assorted goodies. All in
all I made out with a easy 10k probably a lot more once I ID those weapons,
two more houses, one located in my home town, bumping my house
ownership in the city of Oasis to a whopping 9 houses. Since I'm feeling
frisky here's the....
MORAL OF THE STORY: Like um, don't carry keys with
you. Its really really dumb. Also if you got your keys swiped once why
come back again with yet another set of keys? Oh and if your dying to your own
Greater Explodes run like a bitch. That about covers it.
