I was running around doing misc stuff for the guys at the JoV Training hut (getting scrolls, weapons, etc) when
I get an ICQ from one of them. He said that a guy named Warik (can you believe the irony?) was snooping around
outside the training hut. So, being the adventurous guy that I am, I quickly recalled over to Deceit Isle to
take a look around.
I didn't see "Warik" when I recalled to the front of the two story, but I quickly found him a couple of houses to
the north. I approached him merely to ask him what he was doing when I see
"In Por Ylem"
Aww yeah. I got all excited to try out my new Nighthawk (2 weeks and 2 days old at this point) in his first PVP.
Strangely enough, when I said "Aww yeah" outloud in game, he didn't hit me with the spell he'd cast and just said,
"Don't".
WTF. I wasn't the guy who was about to attack here a couple of seconds ago, and now you're telling me "don't"? Fine,
again I'm curious so since he hasn't attacked yet, I decide to not take a murder on this character quite yet. The guy
goes on to explain that he's waiting for his friend at his house, but he was lost and wasn't sure where his friend's
house was.
Well, that's sorta believable, so I stop to chat for a second when in recalls the friend not 3 steps in front of me
(directly between me and Warik). I don't remember his name, so we'll just call him Gonna Diesoon. =)
So, Gonna immediately casts In Por Ylem and Warik follows with an ebolt. Then ebolt and ebolt and then another round of
1 ebolt each. I laughed because with my 68+ resist, I only had to heal twice through their 5 ebolts. After they'd obviously
used all of their small amount of mana, they both pull out their bows. Now, normally fighting two archers means you're
probably going to die or recall in the end if they have any idea what they're doing.
The first arrow hit me for 5 hp of damage and that dispelled all of my worries. I concentrated on Gonna and after two bolts
he was in dire need of a heal. They both unequip and heal Gonna. As there were no bolts/arrows coming at me I thought,
"wait a minute. I have a whole gang of people I could kill the schmuck right in front of just around the corner."
So, I run 1 house over and they follow. Two more bolts and Gonna is in deep shit again, but this time, they're heal wasn't
soon enough. Maybe Gonna thought his friend was going to heal him like last time while "Warik" thought the opposite. I
don't know and I don't care. I just know that I quickly cast an ebolt and Gonna dropped face down running like a dog.
All the guys in the house came out and attacked Warik even though they had no arrows to go with their training bows. One
hitin the ass from my heavy xbow and he decided it was time to go since his screen was filling up with "x is attacking you".
Overall, we taught Warik 1> not to snoop around my house and 2> if you bring a peon to a 2on1 fight, you're gonna have to say
"I'm sorry he killed you" later.
You would think that would be a good story. THAT'S NOT ALL!
I few days later, I was in Deceit in the bone magi room getting scrolls for the guys and resist/gold for me when I see Warik
in the hall. YAY! I walk out there and he starts in with the "you were a pussy in front of your 2 story with all of your
friends" stuff. Obviously, he wouldn't believe that none of the 5 people that came running out even had ammo, so I didn't even
try to explain it. I guess he'd also missing me killing his friend even though there were two of them.
I tell him that if he's all talk to just lick me. He then says, "No, lets go, right now". Alrighty!
At this point, my character is still less than 3 weeks old and I'm about to rip into this prick who started this crap in front
of my house a couple of days earlier. We walk into the large "dueling room" right next to the bone magi room. Amazingly, he
attacks.
I quickly find out that it was him that was doing the 5 hp of damage to me the day previously, because the damage he did to me
on the two times he hit me was laughable. I wish I still had the log of the fight, but it went something very close to this,

The whole thing took less that 20 seconds. Two xbow bolts, an ebolt (which interrupted his heal) and a final ebolt to take what
very little life he had left away from him. What was so funny is that as a ghost he still talked shit (yes, I spirit speak
because I'm curious, remember?) and said that I sucked... yadda yadda yadda. Another funny thing was that as I'm looting his
corpse, I notice that he has a mortar, 200+ ginseng and about 20 greater heals - but he didn't use a GH the whole fight! Geez,
some people are just... stupid.
Anyhow, the point again is that if you're going to challenge someone to a duel that you couldn't kill with a friend just a couple
of days before (AND the friend died) - you're an idiot and you definitely shouldn't be wearing the fine name of WARIK.
