It seemed that every time he would ICQ me, Vapor and I were looting a house or doing some other fun activity. It turns out that Rootdown has been playing a while, but had never PKed or looted or anything truly evil. Of course, I'm always ready to promote this type of behavior.
He saw me in Britain one day and asked if he could go looting with me. I tried to explain to him that getting the opportunity to loot a house wasn't exactly something you could plan on, but he was so interested in doing something devious that I couldn't help but want to try to make something happen.
We wandered around for a bit with nothing interesting happening. Eventually, he made the suggestion of going to Avalon (a player run city on Baja) to see if we could stir up some trouble. I'd only been to Avalon 3 or 4 times mainly because it's full of role-players and I don't normally go out of my way to fuck with them. But, the Avalon guards didn't have me on their KOS list even though I'd just looted a house in Avalon the previous week, so I thought I'd see if I could stir something up. Well, we did.
After being in Avalon a total of 30 seconds we walk in front of this house that has a gate open in front of it with two guys standing next to it. I walked up to the last of the guys who hadn't gone in the gate yet after getting his pack on last object (UO's Last Object, BTW. No third party program involved) and quickly snooped him.
YAY! A key! I love it when people donate to my cause.
I quickly grab the key and check the door of the house. It opens and Rootdown runs in it behind me. Rootdown hadn't done this before, so I quickly told him how to check for trapped boxes. Nothing was trapped which means that everything was ours!
The house didn't have a lot, but it had some misc magic bows, black dye tub and plenty of regular plate. What was important was that we could get all the good stuff in one trip. Why is that important? About a minute after we entered the house, several GoA (Guardians of Avalon) showed up. My guess is that they wanted us to leave... :)
Just as we both decided on the best things to take (since we're both close to being overloaded), someone runs up to the door and opens it. Enough Avalon guards run in to talk me into leaving. Kal Ort Por... byebye.
