No one wanted it to come, but Ronald McDonald's last day was upon us. Granted, he hadn't been seen in UO in a month, but the point that he would never return was one best avoided. Ron ICQ'd a couple of us to let us know that Sunday April 18th, 1999 would be his last run.

Ron ICQs me and tells me that he wants to take his old archer pk, Crazy Bastard, out and see if he can get himself killed with only a couple of support folx. So, with a blue healer/paralyzer or two we go out. What was amazing is that he killed close to 20 people with just a bow. Ok, just a bow and a paralyze for every hit. The upside of the para/bow/para technique is that you can laugh at how horrible your character is and still get the kill. There were many a "this many take us a second, but you'll die" type comment made to paralyzed victims. Eventually, he decided to bring out Ronald McDonald - the former tank rogue gone pk. I'd hunted alongside this character on so many occasions that I couldn't imagine this being a "last run". We had a good, relatively small crew for the final assraping that Ron was to give. Me, Ron, Charley, Valid, Brendan and Mr Sinister bashed through Deceit first. Here you see us killing a couple people in the skeleton room on level 1. We suck because we hunt newbies on level 1 you say? How about this and this picture of the 5 people we killed in the Lich Lord room on lvl 4? Ok, you get the point.

We apparently had GM Lint following us (not visible unfortunately), because when Brendan said "I use UOE" he was instantly taken to jail. He was later released after he explained that he was just kidding with the fellas and that none of us use UOE. :) Anyhow, we invited him out for a screenshot for the Ron's Last Run picture gallery, but he only messaged Charley that he "was watching". *shrug* Ok, gather around and watch the pros.

Anyhow, I gated from my UOE bank to Covetous and we dropped two people pretty quickly. We got bored soon and gated off to Dawn (a player run city). We pre-loaded our spells, but there was no one to be found. The killing in Avalon was much better - we even found someone there with magic weapons on him to stock their vendor.

As the evening goes on, we killed a lot of people but I guess all good things must come to an end. As we all went back to Ron's two-story to say our goodbyes, we find 5 campers outside. Well, they didn't fare very well. They did give us something to laugh about tho as the evening came to a close. It all ended with us all saying goodbye to Ronald McDonald and all that mushy "we'll miss you" shit that real men supposedly don't do.

Well, I will miss you Ron. You changed the game.
