I had just finished a rather unproductive money making trip to Deceit when I recalled to the Vesper bank to deposit the little gold I had made. I arrive just in time to see "dumbass" (sorry, I forget the name) die from a poison. I see that her corpse is blue and I think to myself that today may be profitable after all. I run over to the corpse and make a small comment about how the corpse has like a viking sword of vanq or something, just to get people to loot. I then hide. Well, some lamer decides to come over and just stand there screaming guards. I come out of hiding and instruct him how to loot guard killed looters :-) (In other words, I tell him to shut up and hide)

About three newbies come over, loot, die. Nothing of serious interest was on their corpses. Then, a pathetic, rich newbie called Lost Soul comes over and tries to loot the blue corpse. He dies promptly after I call the guards, and, having the quick fingers I have, I get the keyring and chest his corpse had. After waiting a few more minutes just in case anything else happened, I see him come back asking for his stuff. I pretend not to have any. I look into the chest, hoping for a rune to a house. Sure enough, I find a rune named "a forest northeast of Minoc"

I drop anything not essential into the bank and recall on the rune. I arrive outside the door of a small house and open the door. I crap my pants when I find out that this house has about 7 chests, only one locked, filled with HUNDREDS of reagents, at least 10 sets of plate, hundreds of runes, several Christmas items, and tons of other awesome junk. I make a quick check and notice that I'm going to need to place the boat I bought earlier (the house was right by water). I place the boat, and make several trips from the house to the boat, looting the house as fast as I can. I realize that even with my boat, help would be very nice.

I recall back to Vesper to look for my friend joop, but I didn't find him. Starting to feel rushed, I recall back to the house, to find Lost Soul standing there with "I ban thee" readily typed. I was banned and the locks were changed. Total loot collected: 300+ of every reagent, 7 sets of plate, a black dye tub, a Christmas tree deed, a deed for a vendor named Carl, a broadsword of force, about 1000 arrows, and the satisfaction of a loot well done. :-)

I hate morals, but I guess I'll try to help out any dumb lamers out there...

Morals of this Story : 1) Cmon, don't loot in town! DUH! 2) Don't carry a key and rune to your house on you! AT least keep your rune in the bank!!! 3) If you know your rune and key to your house have been looted, don't wait around trying to get loot back! Bee-line it to your house and ban anyone who comes in!
