Starting Anew
 
 
This story takes place on the Baja Shard at the JoV's training hut..
 
 
         I had just awoken from a blissful slumber, when Stupid began on a debate about how some place named Canada sucks compared to another foreign place called America. His problem was that they would not let people in this 'land'  'drive' these mystical things they called cars until they are 18 years old. I found this preposterous that anyone could 'drive' anything, besides a horse and cart.  The story turned to how hard of a time he was having with the women.  I being female myself, found it quite amusing to poke fun at his failure's with women.  I even chided him that his problem wasn't with women, its that he couldn't keep from enjoying the company of the overly plump women, therefore scaring off the better looking women.  His response was to challenge me to a duel, as our arrows loosed, I struck first, but he was mysteriously healing the entire time, after every shot he almost seemed to get worse then somewhat better. But downstairs, Enforcer heard all the commotion and decided to investigate!

         After, realizing what exactly was going on, Enforcer ran off and brought Nighthawk to the house to stop the duel. As soon as we realized that Nighthawk was nearby, Stupid and I immediately hid to avoid embarrassment of him finding us shooting each other. But as Nighthawk entered the room, and demanded to know what had been going on, both of us showed ourselves and explained. It had started with me chiding him over women, then him feeling his name was hurt he attacked, and I felt obligated to continue until one of us fell, clearing our name(s).  As a punishment for "such foolishness" as Nighthawk put it, we both were to come up with 1,000 gold pieces. "1,000gp!?" my inner self shouted, "That's preposterous, he attacked me." But, alas these words never left my lips.  I expected to have Nighthawk's assistance in reaching a destination to collect such gold.  But he would have nothing of it, and immediately told both of us to start running to Deceit and that we'd better make up for the troubles we caused.  I and Stupid, not wanting to get into too much trouble, immediately ran out of the house.

         Dodging through the dangerous alleyways, of the all too cramped conditions of the Ice Island, I arrived at Deceit, just before Stupid.  Creeping inside, being wary of the inhabitants of the dungeon, I noticed Gits of EiG standing there and fighting off a Water Elemental.  Hurrying back to where Stupid and now Rasassination stood, I alerted them to the fact that Gits was right there, and explained that earlier Gits had trapped me deeper in the dungeon and then allowed a Fire Elemental to slowly kill me.  Deciding now was the time to strike, the three of us ran to see Gits say "Kal Ort Por" then disappear suddenly, leaving us with two angry Water Elementals to fend off.  We dispatched them, with only minor injuries and problems, but another decided to come after us and we dashed off, not wanting to risk any chance of eating the hard stone floor of the dungeon today. We ran off towards the Skeleton room, for easier kills and more armor.

         Upon arriving in the room, we noticed it was littered with long dead bones, yet many of them started coming to life and attacking the three of us not instead of doing it one at a time, they attacked each one of us individually.  After dispatching the skeletons, we noticed that Enforcer and Nighthawk were already here, waiting for us as they too shattered the skeletons that kept coming to life.

         As we continued breaking the bones of these undead skeletons, others started to show up.  Juy came out, and suddenly part of our party attacked, apparently she had attacked Enforcer earlier and was driven away by Nighthawk.  Juy immediately ran as the arrows were lofted at her.  After she ran off, several others came through and were either run off or, as the two unlucky people were, shot and slashed to death.  We managed to walk away with many pieces of bone, and our prides a little singed.  Juy had decided to come back with Cash on horseback and a Demon following her, which quickly started throwing spells at me.  Nighthawk opened up a Gate and I barely managed to run through it, myself bleeding harshly as we arrived in a town that was new to me.  Thankfully no one nearby decided to attack me, as in my condition I would have easily fallen.

         After arriving back at the house, we all checked our gear for wear, then began sorting out the goods we managed to liberate from the skeletons and those foolish enough to come near us.  All in all we walked off with roughly 10 full sets of bone armor, some various weapons including a silver hammer, and one of us had a shiny new xbow, not to mention the couple thousand gold pieces we managed to accumulate.  All in all, I believe my first 'forced' trip into this dungeon was a successful one, since I actually walked off with about 600 gold myself and only a bruised pride, well that is after the wounds were healed.  I walked off to a section of one of the rooms upstairs and drifted off to sleep.  After all, "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day!"
