I had just logged in and decided to do a little reagent shopping,
since I have an adept alchemist and thought it was time to raise him to
master.
My first planned stop was at the bank, to pick up 5k in
gold. Then I would spend an hour waiting at Vesper and Occlo for reags
to respawn in the vendors, buying all the nightshade and garlic I could.
I was walking in between a 2 story house and a small house
when I heard the *click* sound of a door opening. The small house just
west of me had opened, and a guy named HK Ken had stepped outside, without
closing the door... he must have been placing his key on the vendor there.
I quickly turn around and make a dash for the door. I
shove Ken out of the way and charge inside, ready to loot, and kill if
necessary.
The house was all but empty. There was an empty armoire,
some stacked tables and a trapped brown bear inside, along with heaps of
stacked female armour items. I decided there was nothing in this house worth
dying for.
Ken came running back inside, and we both stopped for
a second. I moved next to Ken, snooped his pack, and found his keyring.
He ran outside at this point, quickly placing the key on his vendor. I
slammed the door behind him, locking him out, and he did the silliest thing
he could have done. He reopened the door and came back inside, carrying
his key again, which is what I wanted him to do.
I quickly stole the key, and greeted my new victim. I
noticed he was gray and low on health, he must have been sparring...
"did u steal my key", he asked me.

The full black plate he was wearing was just too much
of a temptation for me, so I attacked him and made short work of him. I
looted his corpse of over 250 black pearls, and around 100 of every other
reagent, as well as the full black plate which I just love so damn much.
=)
At this point, I had a problem. I was overloaded! I had
forgotten to drop off the previous nights loot in my house before leaving,
so I sent a quick message to Mortus Kaine, my friend and guildmaster for
The Dark Ministry of SiN, asking for help.
Another member of Kens guild, named E G Lung (gotta love
these oriental names =), recalled in front of the doorstep to the house.
I hid in the middle of the room as he opened the door and entered.
He stopped right next to me, and seeing the opportunity,
I stole his keyring too, which he apparently did not notice.
"hail!", I greeted the new arrival.
"hi", he replied.
"how are you going?" I asked, leading him on in an effort
to discover if he had noticed me steal or not.
"?" was his only reply. I guess he's not that fluent in
English, and he also didn't notice me steal.
"Or, more to the point... what are you doing in MY house?!",
I said to him in a mocking tone.

hehe I guess he noticed my theft then. =) Unfortunately
the poor guy must be a journeyman swordsman or something, as his incredibly
huge halberd was hitting me for a whopping 5 damage a hit. I once again
made short work of my opponent, who had ANOTHER set of almost 100 of each
reag! As well as 200 garlic and 200 pearls. I couldn't believe my eyes,
why do these people carry so much?!
I was majorly overloaded this time, so I dumped my heavy
crossbow, some chainmail I had looted earlier last night and some greater
strength / greater agility potions I carried.
Mortus was still nowhere to be seen, so I harassed him
for a bit on ICQ to get his ass moving. =) While I was waiting, HK Ken
had returned to the house in a death robe. I watched him heal himself,
then put on a full set of GOLD plate. Mmmm, gold plate. These guys like
making me happy, I thought to myself. =)
I remained hidden inside when Mortus appeared outside
the house, as he strikes up a conversation with Ken. He was "making nice"
with Ken, while a newly ressed E G Lung showed himself a few moments later.
At this point, I had both of their keys, so they were
locked out of their house with nothing they could do about it. I waited
inside, telling Mortus over ICQ to ask if they would buy their keys back,
even though I figured it was a long shot.
A third person named Gallom or Gollum or something, recalled
in front of the house as well. I noticed Ken attempting 8th circle Magery,
and fizzling quite a few times.
"GM Mage", says Mortus to me over ICQ.
Mages are the bane of me, so I decided that it might be
a nice idea if I left and not risk all this loot. Just then, Ken managed
to summon a Water Elemental, which he then used to attack Mortus. (Mortus
was using a mule char at the time named Spidey).
Mortus died shortly thereafter, as he had crashed and
had no combat skills with this character.
I decided to make a break for it, I opened the door and
charged outside. One of them says "!!", while another says "In Por Ylem".
It was a useless pursuit though, I quickly crossed the
server line, so that any tracking they may have would fail to find me.
I ran into the forest and hid for about a minute, to see if they had chased
me across.
They didn't bother chasing me, so I ran to my house and
deposited all my new plate and reags.
As I finished dumping all my stuff, I was informed by
Mortus that Ken and E G Lung were back at their house. I imagined how good
that full set of gold plate would look on me, and I just couldn't resist
going back to see what they had to throw at me. =)
I opened the door and took a step inside.
"hail!" I said in a joyous voice.
HK Ken is attacking you!
Whoa, 2 journeyman fighters after me, I was in trouble!

I ran outside the house to avoid being boxed in, and they
quite stupidly followed. I had trouble deciding who I would concentrate
on, but in the end I decided Ken, since he had all that nice armour. =)
Ken was taken down after a minute or so of fighting, while
the both of them had managed to hit me once. E G Lung was at half
health at this time, so I attacked him as I looted Kens corpse.
I didn't bother counting the reags he had brought me,
since I assumed they would be only a minimal amount. I was more interested
in the gold plate. =)
E G Lung had disappeared behind a corner, hiding from
my arrows (but not actually *hiding*). After finishing the loot, I attacked
him again, and chased him back into Vesper.
He called the guards on me.. which didn't help his situation
much. =)
He then ran inside the inn... and LOGGED OFF RIGHT INFRONT
OF ME!!
I posted to the JoV forum about this issue, insta-logging
while being attacked, just before the board got reset, and will be reposting
again once I have this story typed up, as this is the THIRD time this has
happened to me in 2 days.
I hid and camped at the inn, waiting for him to return
after he thinks his flag has expired, as I did with Alex the previous day.
He logged on another char, named Lg (WTF??), and ran around
the inn and outside to see where I was. Unfortunately he didn't find me,
and he logged off Lg and logged back in E G Lung, who was at 1/5th life.

"surprise!" I yelled.
My first shot knocked him down to about 1 hitpoint, and
immediately after that, he logged off again, which was most frustrating.
Lg made a return, and HK Ken waited outside the inn, in
another set of FULL BLACK PLATE. Jeez, do these guys love me or what??
Donating all this nice They went outside and had some kind of conversation, then
entered the inn, apparently looking for me. You'd think they'd track but
noo... I was hidden 2 tiles away from them while they came inside.
"I phone you la" said Ken, which made me chuckle a little.
I love it when they add "la" and other shit to the end of sentences for
no apparent reason.
They both disappeared for a while, and I remained hidden,
camping for their return. One more shot was all I needed to get E G Lung,
and I was almost I wasn't going to leave this opportunity behind so I camped,
and camped, and camped, and camped.....
After about an hour of waiting, I decided to check the
loot I previously got off Ken. I clicked on some reagents and promptly
crapped my pants as I saw the following items...
You see: 704 nightshade
HOLY FUCK!! Ken was more generous than I thought! He'd
given me a full set of black plate, a full set of gold plate, and absolute
FUCKLOADS of Why the hell would you take SO MANY REAGANTS to your house
KNOWING you will start a fight there with a guy who beat you into the ground
about 10 minutes ago?? What sort of stupid shits are they?? I marveled
at their generosity, and it was only the reagent count from this loot that
kept me camping after the hour I'd already spent there, I wanted more!!
The most ironic thing about this whole story, is that
I had set out in the first place to go reagent shopping (as in, spending
MONEY for reagents), but these guys had done my shopping for me! I never
left Vesper or even got close to the bank, and I had 5 times as many reags
I had set out for, and spent NO MONEY AT ALL.
I had been almost overloaded the whole time I was camping
(even with 97 str, the amount of reagents these guys felt like giving me
was just too much for me =) so I quickly dropped my new loot off at my
house, and returned to the inn for more camping.
Another hour passed, and with no sign from Ken, E G Lung
or any other newbie characters, I decided I would head back home, since
I had some potion making to do. =) I would have been lucky to get 400 nightshade
if I went shopping, but these 2 lovely chaps gave me so much more. =)
On my way back to my house, I passed Kens house again,
and noticed someone inside named Pinkie, who was some sort of tailor. There
were HUNDREDS of studded leather things in that house that I had forgotten
all about. Mortus and I helped ourselves to them, while I stole the 1000
gold Pinkie was carrying.
We then set off to sell all these damn bustiers, making
this loot even MORE profitable than it had already been. The vendors hardly
bought any of it though so I just dumped what I had in my house, and got
ready to try the "unknown location" rune that Ken was carrying.
Unfortunately the rune ended up being a rune to the front
of the house we had just looted, but I wasn't concerned. Mortus informed
me that all these Bustiers could add up to 7.3k in gold and I was quite
pleased to hear this. =)
All in all, a VERY profitable night. My heartfelt thanks
go out to HK Ken, HK E G Lung, Pinkie, and any other poor fool in this
very rich but very stupid guild. I really wanted Kens second set of black
plate but it didn't look like he'd show any time soon, and I knew there
would be more opportunities with these people.

reagants! This brings me to an interesting question.
