This story takes place on the Great Lakes Shard
Having a nice zero murder counts (shown by my admittance to the thieves' guild) I decided it was time to go out and get a smooth 4 murders, just because I didn't do much stealing anyways. I head straight to the Minoc mines, looking for a sap that can make my backpack heavier and my war fork bloodier. I traverse the entrance, and see a few old friends, and say hello. Then, I see a player named "Jade". One of my friends having the name in question, I decide to do away with this imposters. Within 4 hits of my fork, she took a dirt nap, and I began the ritual of looting. Before killing her, I attempted stealing, and successfully stole some ingots, I assumed all of them. When I pulled a pile of ingots out of her corpse, to my amazement there were over 450 silver ingots! around 100 dull copper, and a few bronze and shadow. Excellent! My first kill giving me a smooth 3k, and what was this? I can still steal? No murder count. Being threatened by a "friend" of mine, The Glorious Lord Minilek, Grandmaster Mage, that if I didn't give back my loot, he would "kill me". Highliy doubting that an unarmored mage could harm a thief with 100 dexterity, 100 tactics, and 100 fencing, not to mention a deadly poisoned dagger, I scoffed at him, and banked my treasures.
Leaving town by foot, I began to head north, to the spawn grounds. I head up there, and I see a member of an allied guild, the Untouchables of Britannia. He is helping fight a monsters with another person named Jaz. As Jaz runs off, I mention to my friend, knowing his evil alignment that I plan to steal Jaz's life. Acknowledging with a smile, he follows me north after Jaz. Quickly, I see Jaz fighting off a harpy and a zombie, seemingly with no trouble- yet. I approach her, and box her in with my UoB friend. Wasting no time, I attack Jaz, and get her to around half dead, when she shoves me out of the way, and bolts south. I follow her, being slightly lagged, but thankfully my UoB friend jumped in front of her, and stopped her twice, so I got the kill quickly enough. Nice.. a few reagents, a suit of GM archer armor.. a few runes. Worth about 2.5k.. but I will use the archer armor.
I say farewell to my UoB buddy, and head around the mines in northern Minoc, hoping to find another unlucky mule. As I pass the mine closest to the Minoc Lost lands entrance, I see a man walk out of a house without a "public house sign". He walks into the house next door with a public house sign, and another person in it. He walks into a corner, sits down, and I attack him. The owner, not noticing I was swinging takes a little while to ban me, but I only worked this person down to 1/3rd health, not able to finish him off and get his house key.
Oh well, I'll be back here later.
I keep heading south, and on the way I see a person named "Woody". Probably a lumberjack/carpenter.. so he might have some deeds to craftables... nice. I attack him, and immediately it is obvious he has 100 strength, due to the small damage I, and my poison did. That put aside, after running quite far I finish off the kill. I see a deed... nice. A contract of employment. Not too shaby.. but worth a smooth 1.5k. I see a pile of gold, and, being the poor bastard I am, I pick it up. 4000 gold. Who in their right mind carries 4000 gold? By now, I am overloaded, and barely done looting. I also see various pieces of armor, and two boxes. I smashed them open in fear of traps, but found nothing of value.
I gated back to Minoc to bank my loot and bring it to my tower. After doing that, I went back north and got my third murder report of the day on a newbie miner who has around 200 iron ingots and 50-60 of 3 other colors. Not worth an entire murder, but too late to reason with that. I recall back to Minoc, bank the rest of my loot, and head to the mines to brag and tell the tale of my day. When I get there, I am astounded to see a wealth of my friends. Good, if I want to take my fourth kill, I will have people to back me up-- and kill looters.
As I sit there telling my tale, a local "badass" named Mase walks in. A little background on Mase now... he is an "ally" of mine most of the time, but is too concerned about fame/low karma to stick his neck out and heal me or help me in a big battle. He's more or less a friend of a friend. Mase used to have (probably still does) this lame macro that says "Does Mase got the ladies? ya ya ya! Do the pks have a deathwish? ya ya ya!" (By the way, he claims to be a murderer, but at the name time claims to be an anti-murderer.) Anyways, when he comes into the mines, I say "Does Mase got the ladies? No No No!". As you can tell, I mock this person, who thinks he is some black guy from the ghetto. Did I mention he had his cousin tell all his "friends" including myself that he was "dead", which of course, he wasn't. But, that my friends, is a whole 'nother story. Anywho, I see this lame guy named Mase, and I harass him knowing that in a huge brawl, all of the people in the mines would stick up for me, and the only person on his side would be his bitch/cousin, Ghostfacekilla. I was grey from attacking a few people before, so he tries to show what a PvP expert he is, and he ebolts me. Immediately, it reflects back to him and does (and I quote Mase) "60 points of damage". Not knowing his low health in company with his weak ass limp body, I go up to him and hit him with my speedy war fork. 1 hit-- and he took a dirt nap. I really didn't want to kill the sorry bastard, but it just happened. I looted his corpse, and in case Mase of Ghostface are reading, I GOT YOUR REAGENTS, biotch! The only reason I kept them is because the son of a bitch reported me (what a friend). So, that was my fourth murder. Easy come, easy go. (By the way, the reason he wasn't grey to me because of attacking is because, even though suspended from the thief guild, I still retain the attribute of being able to be attacked with my assailant staying blue).
All and all, I got around 9k of loot, all ingots, deeds, armor, and reagents considered, it was a pretty good haul without
1.) looting a house
And, just for your entertainment, I will include the two ICQ's Mase sent me after I logged off.
