Talking to a prospective recruit into EiG in the Minoc Cave, I see a burly man clad in full deep golden plate, named Endevour, step into the mines. Myself always looking for trouble, I begin to walk towards him as he blurts out, like most people in Minoc..

"BUYING INGOTS AT 6 GP EACH!!!!!!11111111"

I knew he was a loser by the multiple 1's that were at the end of his exclamation marks. I inform him that my buddy and I have around 1000 ingots together, and are willing to sell them for an even 5k. I tell him to follow me into the back of the mines so I can sell them to him. He follows me, and I assume he has the 5k on him. Great :).

I show him a pile of ingots, only 100, and say "Ooops, sorry, forgot to hit the last zero." "Ok" he says. I proceed to explain that my zero key is stuck, and I cant hit the last zero, while snooping him and finding not only a key, but a rune that says "A forest west of Minoc"

Intriguing.... I open up my skills list, and get my stealing skill ready. (I only have a macro set up for last skill)

I grab the key, and he doesn't seem to notice. I grab the rune, and he still doesn't notice me stealing, or the fact that I just turned grey! I go for his pearl.. FUCK! A pile of 70! I knew I would get caught, and I did, but I got all the pearl!

I laugh, as I stand around, waiting for my flag to wear off.

The FS is immediately reflected back to him, doing 2/3s damage. LoL I think.. no one who is any good at PvP EVER forgets to Magic Arrow.. I can take this guy.

He heals himself, I stand still.

I had already had "Right Back atcha, bitch!" Typed in, as the Flamestrike knocked him silly. Magic leather gloves of magic reflection, amazingly still had charges. Magic gloves and a death robe.. perfect disguise.

He heals again, as I equip my crappy kryss, which has lesser poison on from my aspiring alchemist/assassin. I come after him with my kryss swinging.. Having about 80 fencing at the time, I missed time and time again. Eventually he runs in to town, and my flag had worn off, but I was still flagged to him, and he was flagged to me.

I walk up to him, with the message "bye-bye, Mandrake" And I swipe his mandrake, after banking key and rune of course.

He didn't do anything, so I decided now was a good time to mention I would sell his key and rune back, with no copies, for 10k.

He says he'll only buy it for 4k.
I say 13k.
He replies with an unseemingly firm "7k? please.."
I reply with 15k
"Ill do 10k, my final offer."

I reply, "You had your chance for 10k. Now its 15k. Take it or I loot your house. Which is more important to you? 15k, or over 50k in goods in your house?"

I see a trade window open with 15000 gold in the window. Thank you sire...

Wow, 15k. Time to go pay it all back to a debt I owe to a friend on my current tower.

Only 131k more to go :)

Crime does pay, but then again, most times you have to pay (in gold) with the money you make doing crimes.
