This story begins in Minoc around February of this year. I had just made a new thief named Crackhead BoB after the guy on Howard Stern. I made this guy two days earlier. So, it was early Saturday Morning and I was looking for something to do. I see a gate pop up, a guy walks thru, and I decided to follow it and see where it was to. Suddenly, I am at a 2-story house and I quickly hide. Already there was a Grandmaster Mage/Great Lord D-Rock. He looked mighty strong. Then there was a Dread Lord whose name I can't remember but He was a Journeyman Bard or something stupid like that! They were talking about how they had just placed the house a week ago and how they wanted to start a guild. Well anyway, they ran over where I was standing and found out they were not alone outside this house.

"There is someone hiding here!" screamed the Dread Lord. So he spends 15 minutes chasing me around trying to Fire Field me without any luck. I would move every time.

"What do you want from me? What are you trying to do!" Asked D-Rock.

"I want your house. And I will get in it," I replied.

"LOL, you'll never get in loser," he retorted. So there I was with a Grandmaster Mage and a Dread Lord versus me, the Dastardly Crackhead BoB with 60 archery/50 tactics and some stealing. He then continued to Fire Field and then proclaimed he had to hit the bank for more reagents. He leaves the Dread Lord and me alone and I see opportunity to at least piss them off even more. I proceed to whoop the Dread Lord Bard's ass (who I later found out was there NPC killer or something, whatever he was weak), and it wasn't hard. I loot him and hide behind a tree and wait for D-Rock return. Only he doesn't recall in he gates in 2 others, a fellow by the name of T-Mack and a Great Lady, both of whom looked tough. Now I got a real problem, what was I to do? Well what I was hoping for at the time was for them to go into the house and I could rush the door, hide and snoop, steal a key and log off. But instead they started using the track skill looking for me. They got me on track, but couldn't find me for well over 15 minutes. They may have been tough, but damn they were stupid.

Finally, they found me under the tree hiding and I had to make a break for it. I bolted off thinking I was done for, and no loot on this day. I ran behind the house and ran underneath a tower that was there and tried to hide. D-Rock and friends follow and bolts start busting into my backside. I guzzle down a Heal potion, and finally succeed in hiding. I had snooped him before and could not find a key on him. He inched closer trying to locate me. Could he be that dumb? Does he have a key on him now? Only one way to find out and alas he did! I quickly thieved it and ran back toward the house. I got in and locked the door behind me. Luckily no one else had a key. I had gotten into the house, and it was time to loot! I had to hurry cause it was only a matter of time before he came back. I grabbed a chest full of colored plate and that was all I got because he had about 8 guys out there waiting to kill me! They all rush in and start Fire Fielding me and I would keep loggin off. They did this for well over 8 hours waiting for me to return because I would log in every once in awhile and they were still there. I finally was pushed out of the house and ran to town, made copies and waited to come back another day. This is where the fun begins.

I meet D-Rock the next day in Skara Brae in a sheer random meeting. I told him I was sorry I did that to him (lie) and that I was quitting UO (lie) and he could have his key back and I never made any copies (lie). He believed me I guess because I waited 3 weeks and he loaded the place up to the gills. I proceeded to loot in 6 times, and it was restocked every single time. I don't have a clue what he was thinking. By the fourth time I had looted it they all were Dread Lords, and I always wondered if that was because of me =). At any rate, I lost the keys on accident because I went Dread Lord before the Reputation Patch went in and I got bountied and lost my bank. I'd guess I looted at least 100k worth of armor, potions, reagents, and magic weapons over those 4 or 5 months. Quite a good deal considering it was a Newbie Gimp who took down an entire guild =).

Moral of the story: Don't carry keys in your main pack while killing a thief, even with this new housing system. Also, don't refill a looted house just because someone tells you they won't loot it and then refill it over and over!
