CobyMac Drakeswind was born to a house of nobility in Trinsic. He was expected to become a politician
or merchant by his parents and even the town itself. As a young boy he would often be seen near the guards
barracks, doing chores in exchange for training in various weapons -rather than attending school. The
military is rarely an option for the normally meek nobility, and 'twas the same for CobyMaC.
Although CobyMaC had every chance to lead a normal life as a child, but was totally corrupt in his parent's
eyes, by the age of 14. After they discovered his interest in military training, they sent him away to the
finest schools. CobyMaC went along with his parents wishes although he still lived with hopes of joining
Lord British's army when he became 18.
Things did not work as planned, as Coby had little or no interest in the subjects taught at the 'noble schools',
he could usually be found in the Girls Dorm's or out in the Wild's, smoking Nightshade, while normal classes
were in session. He would occasionally sneak out to the home of a nearby hermit, who agreed to teach him
his about both the martial arts and of magical lore. Coby never saw any repercussions nor was ever a word
spoken to him about his cutting of class because of his uncanny ability with his mouth, he could talk his way out
of virtually anything! (Not to mention he never went anywhere without his Halberd!) But he could not talk his way
into the Royal Army of Lord British, who thought that Cob's terrible school grades were due to his teachers' lack
of leadership, and that they allowed Coby too much leeway in his studies, so they fired all of Cob's teachers, which
did not go over well with the rest of the town.
Years passed, and Coby never changed, always clowning around and flirting with the pretty skirts in the local Tavern,
until he realized that both his life was going nowhere, and his parents were ashamed of him. Right then Coby decided
he would really try and get in to the Knights division of British's army, so he re-enrolled the next year with high
hopes of making something of his life, with or without his family's approval. Alas, they did not let him in.
Dejected, he continued to drink and cavort until his wealthy and powerful family couldn't take his antics any more
and banished him from the town. With a little help from the town Magistrate (to which they "donated" 22,000 gold
coins) Coby was banned from Trinsic for "Crimes against the King".
Coby Still managed his way in every once in a while, talking his way past old friends, and into the tavern to have
a few mugs of ale and play a little poker, maybe spend the night with a few barmaids. 'Til his Mother saw him and
called the Magistrate to her aid again. The Magistrate rushed in to the tavern with 15 of the finest guards in
Trinsic! 'Twas a long battle, CobyMaC ran fervently for his best friend's House, Ice. Ice held them off for a time,
but, Coby tried to escape out the back door only to be confronted by the Vice Magistrate! Knowing that the
punishment to befall him if he were caught was public humiliation and torture, he raised his halberd and struck
the Vice Magistrate across the thigh, hoping to incapacitate him. The Vice Magistrate, not realizing that his
life had been spared, began to yell for the guards. Coby, acting in fear and without thought, drew his dagger
and thrust it through the Vice Magistrate's larynx. The Vice Magistrate lay on the ground, gurgling, as Coby ran
for the woods, and toward the home of his friend, the hermit.
A few days later, under disguise, Coby sneaked towards a market just outside of town, looking for any news of what
had transpired after his escape, and what price had been put on his head. What he saw 'twas an awful sight for
a boy of 19 years. In the center of the market were the heads of his school teachers raised on a Halberd. Around
one's neck hung a sign that read "By order of the Magistrate for crimes against the state." After he grabbed a
hold of his wits, he inquired further, only to find that his family had declared that the school teachers,
and his friends had corrupted his thoughts, and were to blame for his "un-noble" actions. His friend were being
pulled in by the Magistrate, (who is considered to be Lord British's agent in his absence) who was abusing his
power, by taking money in return for acts of 'justice' as determined by the nobility.
Coby knew there was only one thing to be done to put an end to this, get rid of the Magistrate. So, it happened
early one morning while the Magistrate was out hunting with his dogs that Coby found him, took down his dogs
and disarmed him. Coby, having no other motives than to frighten and warn the Magistrate against his actions,
was aghast when the Magistrate yelled out, "Kill me, and you will just see me in Hell, but you will still never
see any of your friends here again!"
Coby thought back to his days as a young boy, his friends were his life. With the terrible time he had with his
family, he had decided that his only family was his friends. Good ole' Alvin, Justin, Kevin, Ice. . . . .
Coby thought not a second longer after he realized that he would never see them again anyway and struck the
Magistrate across the neck with his Halberd. Coby then thrust the head onto his Halberd and placed it in the same
market where he had seen the teacher.
Later that night, Coby sneaked back into town to visit his friend, Ice. All of a sudden there were footsteps about
the house, and guards yelling for 'Coby, and the traitor, Ice' to surrender. Ice and Coby ran to the back of the
house and jumped out the window, looking back for pursuers, Coby say the first torch being tossed onto the
house. Ice contacted the rest of their friends to meet them at the hermits hut, lest they be put to death for
collusion.
After that fateful night, Coby and his friends started living on the road, Killing everything and everyone that
had something they needed. Coby had no remorse, and no love left in his heart. He just had the shear pleasures
of life, women, friends, nightshade, FUN, and the occasional melodies that Coby sings sometimes.
