This story takes place on the Chesapeake shard.
Friday..
It all started on a Friday when I was running around Skara Brae looking for a macroer to steal from. Sure enough, I found one near the bank. I proceeded to snoop his belongings and what do I see? A house key, and a rune to his house! I steal the key, theft goes unnoticed. Then I get the rune, once again unnoticed. "Go me!" I think to myself as I bank the rune and recall off of it to the house. Not much in the house, but you can't expect spectacular loot from someone who macros with a key and rune to their house on them. Oh well, it was better than nothing I thought.
Saturday.
Still laughing about the macroer with the rune and house key on him I decide to pay another visit to Skara Brae. Must be something in the water there that makes people.. stupid. Looked around for a few minutes, no macroers. I walked over to the bank to make people think I was just banking and that standing next to me wouldn't be a bad idea when a guy with the same color hair as me, and same clothing as me walks over to me. He says, "Nice clothes". I snoop his pack, a key and rune!
You have successfully stolen the item.
"Yeah, your clothes are nice too", I told him as I went for his rune.
You have successfully stolen the item.
Gotta love high level stealing. I told my new friend that I had some business to attend to as I recalled to his house. Inside was a ton of GM made plate and magic plate. I got a friend to gate the goodies to his house for storage. On the second trip there I notice my friend who shares my taste in clothing was in the house, and was somewhat distressed. All he had to say was I ban thee, so I promptly left. Got the good stuff already though so it's all good.
Sunday.
Skara Brae had been good to me so I go back because the third time is a charm. I see someone sparring a guildmate at the bank.. I snooped him, and stole his house key. This time I was noticed and the guards COULD have been called on me, but the guy was too busy sparring to see the corner of his screen and everyone else was too busy watching them spar to look at the corner of their screen. I let the criminal flag expire and banked the key, then went back to his pack to look for a suspicious rune. Sure enough I found one, and stole it, and was noticed again. No one called guards though. I recalled to his house, and took everything I wanted which pretty much accounted for everything he had that wasn't nailed down. Then I went back to the bank and he was still there..
"Want to buy a key?", I asked.
"To what?", he replied.
"Your house" (I'm laughing my ass off in real life now).
He realized the key was gone and I told him 3k would make what wasn't mine his, so he gave me the money, and I gave him the key. I never guarantee the contents of the house being left un-pillaged though. :)
Moral of the Story: Rune stays in bank, and your stuff will stay in your house.
