Things to Remember

Ah, the DO's and DON'T's of evil play.  Take a good look at these and remember them, some might save you in the future.

DO's
The following are a couple of things you should always do while you are playing evil.  Check back here often as this page is updated whenever I learn something new.

  • DO - Remember to always have a backup plan incase something goes wrong.  If you die make sure you got backup stuff in the bank or in a house.  If you engage in a fight always make sure you can get away at first chance.
  • DO - Pick your targets carefully.  Only a fool would taunt and provoke someone who can easily destroy them.
  • DO - Go for the good things in a person's pack first.  If you see an item that may be too heavy to steal without being noticed, then don't steal it and move on to something smaller.  Of course, if you're not in town then DO grab for anything and everything that you want.
  • DO - Be nice to fellow evil people.  It's silly to walk up to a group of pks and start making fun of them.  Do what I do, tell them you're evil too and start talking to them (while hidden of course.)  If they get aggressive, run and leave them alone till they feel like playing nice.
  • DO - Steal an archer's arrows or bow before you try to rob more than 1 item from him in the wilderness.  If he notices he WILL kill you.
DON'T's
Here are some things you should rarely or never do.  Remember them because they may save your life one day.

  • DON'T - Get greedy.  If five people are about to attack you don't stick around for an extra second to see if you can grab another item or kill one of them.  You WILL die against 5 people unless you are some sort of badass so don't waste a life.
  • DON'T - Fight an archer or a mage if it's not 1 on 1 and you have a good chance to win.  I'm a pretty good fighter myself and I can't beat 2 mages or 2 archers at one time.
  • DON'T - Try to loot a house when people are home.  They will kill you even if you are blue if their house contains valuables.
  • DON'T - Steal keys over runes.  If you see a key to someone's house and a rune to someone's house in a backpack.  Always take the rune first.  If you get the key and don't get the rune then the key is useless.  But if you get the rune and not the key you can always visit the house frequently to see if the owner or owners are around to rob.
  • DON'T - Kill me.  I am a nice boy and will be sad if you do =(
