Default poor polar bears

I'm going to first say that I am a skeptic. Yes, no one likes pollution but I am getting so sick of Climate Change being rammed down my throat lately. How many articles does CNN need to run on it?

It appears so desperate. I can't stand hearing about it. It's on youtube, advertisements, commercials, radio, movies, school. Fuck off with the shit already.

I'm using shitty toilet paper that is transparant, using toilets that will not drown a turd. I don't like fucking around when it comes to human waste. Micro-managing my garbage is already annoying as fuck. (living in UK)

Since when did Hippies become so powerful and influential? Water levels rose in the past and civilizations are underwater. I guess they didn't have the climate "scientists" to save them from the melting glaciers. " hurry! we must regulate the world today because in a month I fear this will all be "IRREVERSIBLE" "

I would even prefer a world where we must fear Alien Invasions, or Nuclear Wars, or Biblical Plague to RISING TEMPERATURES! The only difference is today they attempt to back it with SCIENCE which is nothing more than speculative theories based more on political ideals than scientific laws. Data gathering is hardly Science and Science isn't political.

If "they" really believed in Global Warming then I would think that these believers would have taken the hacked emails way more seriously because that would be more hope of salvation than Copenhagen, would it not? A possibility exists that Climate change isnt happening and is political? Nah, ignore it completely and bury it because the new climate regulation will save the world. I think it shows they want to believe it or atleast are so desperate to prove it is. It's like a Christian desperately ignoring Evolution and attempting to silence it.

It seems they are not out to research IF its happening but are determined to PROVE it is. And the climate press is calling this Science.

Atheists are the new religious fanatics it seems and we will all be persecuted by Science and fear not the fires of Hell but the rising seas and mourn the polar bears and worship Mother Earth.

forget paying tithing, pay your extra eco taxes.
my rant is over.

First we let climate change kill the woolly mammoth now you just want to look the other way and let all the polar bears die.

"Most woolly mammoths died out at the end of the Pleistocene, as a result of climate change and/or human hunting pressure. In 2008 a study conducted by the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales in Spain determined that warming temperatures had reduced mammoth habitat considerably, putting the woolly mammoth population in sharp decline, before the appearance of humans in their territory." -Wikipedia Woolly mammoth - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I don't fear climate change. I live in Canada, bring on the warmer weather. A change in climate isn't going to fuck us over, it's going to be people's unwillingness to change. Climate change will happen whether we are here or not, only in today's world we are too obsessed with controlling everything and perpetuating obsolete traditions that we may not adapt quick enough to whatever change may happen. Old habits die hard.

"First we let climate change kill the woolly mammoth..." -Drywall

That's a funny statement.

Climate changing, no industrial revolution.... Shit happens.

You think that global warming effects aren't going to have an impact on Canadians because its cold here during the winter? It's not about hot and cold man. It's about sustainability.

Insect infestations
(We no longer get the deep cold that killed the larvae before they grow up into little crop eating machines.)

Forest fires
(Water from lakes and streams that once kept the forest floors moist and cool and hydrated is all but drying up...)

Floods
(from melting snow banks and ice formations that were once frozen year round)

Drought
(Reservoirs losing hundreds of gallons of water due to evaporation.)

These are all issues we've faced this year and will probably face even harsher versions next year. It's hard enough to keep the populace alive without bugs and forest fires eating up the land we use to grow food.

Yes, the planet is RIDICULOUSLY over populated. What happens where the waters rise and even MORE land is covered in water? Even less room for our cities and towns. What happens when water has to be rationed and we have to make a choice between watering our crops and watering our children?

Your right though, you live in Canada, nothing bad happens here. Nothing bad will ever happen to you or anyone you know. and global warming is just a myth that we should ignore...

Maybe you are right, climate change is an act of nature and would happen no matter what... Doesn't that make it even more scary? That this might be something we CAN'T fix?

Adapt....? Are you serious? Humans stopped adapting the second modern medicine came into play. People that should have died because they are weak and have bad genes are surviving today because of modern medicine. Maybe if modern technology had not come into play and we were still on the path of Evolution.. Maybe then could we adapt to the climate around us. Your right we are set in our ways, we've carved out a future that relies on technology and modern medicine to keep us healthy. I don't think a human can adapt his way out of a paper bag anymore.. Were stuck. Viruses that infect us can adapt and kill us, but we can no longer adapt without a vaccine of sorts to save us and keep our immune system strong.. (Swine flu A.K.A H1N1)

Basically I think humanity is screwed. Isn't life a bitch? The world is going to end. You don't even have to be a religious fundamentalist to see that's true.

Global warming, floods, quantum explosions, Starvation and awfully big chunks of space rock falling out of the sky... All of these and more are great ways to go out with a bang..

Global warming has been hush hush recently. They are waiting for the scandal to be forgotten. It will come back just after the new push for higher taxes. The institutions are just strategizing their comeback and waiting for some bad weather to support it. Because they had scandals with faked data and "normal" weather globally.

Honestly, you need to question things you are taught in schools and universities. You need to be skeptical.

Find your demons, and fight your fight, but don't force your beliefs and back them with law on others who don't share views. Global Warming is a theory and we are unable accurately forecast the weather a few days in advance so don't assume the "scientists" are on to more than a theory before you back their calls for laws and taxes to be based upon theories.

Climate change happens, so does disease, wars, and natural disasters. Just look at the groups behind the movements and question the information being fed to you. I question much of what I read wether it's in history class, the newspaper, movies, and even government because people lie and someone always gains from a lie or stretched truth. We were fed propaganda by the government during war time and so was our enemies. Who was right in the end?

All I'm saying is I neither deny or accept global warming. I just don't like the people behind the movement. Spreading fear to gain an audience.

Nothing better than a paranoid douche bag who's probably from the south. When did I say a word about taxes? or the government? ... make sure you remember to put your tinfoil hat on before bed tonight.

We are on a big chunk falling through space right now, what humans do to the planet is ir-fucking-relevant, it's going to die anyway. Drive your hummers, hunt bald eagles, eat lots and lots of red meat, smoke and drink all day, and never sleep.
