I hear plenty of people say that if things continue the way they are we will have an uprising in this country. Will it happen? Who knows. Do I care? Not really. I highly doubt it will be something the average guy would have to worry about. If the people get pissed off enough they aren't coming after me are they. They will rise up against the government not other people.

Personally I would like to see the American People finally grow some balls and stop talking and take action if they are actually tired of the way shit is going. Sitting at home talking about it all day is not going to make something happen. Sitting back talking about how you want things to change but your just one person doesn't make a damned bit of sense. If you have the same idea as so many other people why is everyone sitting around saying they are one person?

We need to remember that the government and so on work for US not the other way around. Time to start firing people if you ask me.

I don't think it will happen. Things aren't that bad here and the media just sensationalizes and hypes everything. The people that bitch and moan about inequalities are either the lower class (poor) or the upper class (wealthy). The former are too stupid and lazy to do anything about it and the latter are too scared to risk losing what they have, even if they are getting taxed to death.

Exactly what I was getting at. Our government has shut down plenty of times over the years and it had zero impact on the general population. The only people who took a hit were government employees.

The only possible realistic outcome in all of this is people getting pissed and things changing for a while only to eventually escalate back to this very point in another 20 years or so.

Im not sure that i've heard anything like that, but what i say "seriously, what the fuck?" to is every time i turn on the news i read how some unemployed person went crazy and killed him self along with his family. This is what scares me.

man that is all you can do,just sit stare in disbelief I can't even turn on my TV without getting depressed so I turned it off except when my kid is home,then it is the soothing ,mind numbing pleasure of cartoons.

I think the Marijuana might have something to do with the mind numbing... Either way I'm tired of the bullshit as well but I'm sure as hell not going to do anything about it. If i get fired or laid off I'll try to find new work but when it comes down to it I'll do whatever I have to do to survive.
