Default Shit! There goes the country.

May God help us. I just hope the Senate Republicans can hold at least 41 seats so the Democrats aren't filibuster proof.

Oh please, country can't get any worse than it already is.

And if it does, fuck, at least the strongest will survive.

Atleast the rest of the world is happy about it. Or that is just what the media tells us. Change is good?

I've been thinking. This term "Change" it's so vague. What type of change do they mean?

Great question, unfortunately it's a little late in the game for it. The answer is... bad change.

Socialism is the last thing this country needs.

I'll be here in a couple of years with the "I told ya so". Until then, I'll be hoping I'm wrong.

Seriously...I think everyone just needs to chill the fuck out.
You can only judge a person on a few things. What's he'd done perviously, who he associates with and what he says he will do.

1> Done previously? Effectively, nothing.
2> Who he associated with? Anti-Americans, a domestic terrorist, hard core socialists and extreme left liberals.
3> What he says he'll do? Socialism... plain and simple.

There's nothing to chill out about. This guy has a full Dem Senate and the will to make massive changes that will modify the very core of the country.

This is nothing to take with such a light attitude, imho.

That's where I'm standing atm, hoping I'm wrong about him, but still scared of what could happen if he starts to get his legislation passed.

The only bright side is that with a democratic congress and president we can hope for legislation to help further stem cell research and other types of things that conservatives freak out about. I just hope the republicans can cockblock them when it comes to economic changes.

Bingo. That's actually pretty close to what Ally and I were talking about the other day. Since I'm socially liberal, I really don't have a problem at all with Obama being able to appoint to the supreme court since the only thing they rule on would be social issues, not fiscal (for the most part). Gay marriage? Don't care. Abortion? I want it legal. Drugs? Legalize that shit (and no, I don't do drugs - I just want the taxes from it).

My only concern is how much power he has to do the fiscal damage with a democratic Congress behind him. That's a lot of power right there.
