Yeah, income redistribution is a good thing... for those that never plan to succeed. For the rest of us, it's pretty shitty.

I want privatized social security and no new taxes and a Red Ryder 100-shot range model air-rifle with a compass on the stock and this... thing.. that tells time.

Does anyone else find it difficult to dislike Obama and not feel the need to give some defensive valid reason as to why without the worry of racist suspicions cast upon you by a file and rank democratic liberal tools? I just think presidency was handed to him. Like there is no other reason to see his election win except that it was fate. People were destined to like and vote for him. The rest of the worlds jubilation seems to confirm this for me.

I personally think that Hillary was a better choice than Obama. I think Palin was awful as a VP candidate for GOP but it seemed a politcal move to add another circus clown to this carnival of a Presidential Election.

Clearly McCain was a better choice in every way but it seemed the politcal climate was just so perfect for Obama that he couldn't lose even if he performed half as well as McCain.

My thoughts. As for the Social plans. Whats Mine is Mine. Not whats yours is mine. Making it legal to take from a person to give to another does not make it just. We must start chanting In Government We Trust soon because it is soon to be our livelyhood. Well, thats just dramatic but times are "Changing" and I can only Hope that people are smart enough to remember what they learned in history and think about the future and not just the present.

Ok well its like this what is the worse that can happen? I am personally motivated to see what things will happen and bring change to this country, a mild curiosity if you will.
I don't think for one moment that it's going to be nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be, and none of us have the right to assume that it is fucking Armageddon as there is no policies or changes at this moment that warrants flipping the fuck out. He may do a wonderful job and do a perfect marriage and symbiotic blend of socialism and traditional American politics. Or he could blow it and we will never see or hear from neither a Socialist standing nor African-American candidate again. Personally I am glad to be in the generation of change that I never thought possible due to bigotry. Even though as it is now I am an equal opportunity racist and spare no political correctness for any race I think its a milestone for how far we have come to allow not only a black president but a Muslim as well. This gives me hope that an agnostic or atheist president can be elected which is my own personal desire.
If Obama fails, his damage can be reversed come 2012 and we can all go back to where we were. His approval will still be higher than Bush and hopefully in the faith that I have that the damage done by Bush is not permanent and reversible the same thing can be done for Obama if it is not to American standards or ideals. America will not tolerate another presidential failure I believe and if he doesn't do a good job then he will be assassinated, impeached, or forced to resign.

on a side note however if McCain had spoken like he did in his congratulatory farewell speech I would have voted for him.. That speech was masterful and eloquent and should be applauded.
