AP: McCain appears cancer-free, healthy - John McCain News - MSNBC.com

He can at least do 1 term, probably 2 if he doesn't have any cancer come back. Sounds like he's in better cardiovascular shape than most people 10-15 years younger than him.

McCain is a joke, I am all old-republican style but this guy is just like GWB all over again. Fake conservatives go ga-ga over this guy. I am unimpressed.

Lets get back to real conservative values here? Ron Paul 2008!

I agreed with a lot of Ron Paul's ideas but he really doesn't have a chance of winning without running as a canidate of a major party. You should just start saying Ron Paul 2012.

The thing I like about McCain is that he's willing to not just hold a hard conservative mindset on most issues and will therefore seek at least some sort of middle ground so that legislation is passed instead of nothing being done.

Are you sure Ron Paul dropped out? I believe NH said he was staying in the running on principal alone. I'm assuming he may have finally left to work on being re elected for texas senate. But, I wouldnt go around calling people names if you arn't 100% sure. In other workds Pic or it didnt happen lol

When I said that I meant that he was not going to back out of the running just because he was incredibly far behind. Running on principle alone doesn't mean you're going get the nomination. Clearly he didn't get it as McCain did.

Ron Paul was running to get real conservative values back on TV and in the minds of the people. At no time did anyone think he would win or even get close. You have to support the candidate that represents you 100%.

From a Canadian POV, Ron Paul was the one true source of hope (Obama alright I guess, but I don't think the democrats will be able to fix the current mess although I guess they have Congress for a few more years...). I was literally distraught over how little delegates RP has managed to grab although I think he did a helluva job getting what he did. Especially considering how he was treated by the media.

Sad times indeed
