Teddy Roosevelt Quotes

I was looking around at some quotes and started reading some of his, I remember reading his quote on the wall of the Museum of Natural History in NY and thinking he was wise, but these two quotes I can really get behind.

“We can have no "50-50" allegiance in this country. Either a man is an American and nothing else, or he is not an American at all.” - Theodore Roosevelt

“Every immigrant who comes here should be required within five years to learn English or leave the country.” - Theodore Roosevelt

I could not agree more with either of those. Hell, they should make the second one a law!

I dunno how they could turn that into a law, but it would be nice. I used to work for pizza hut and it was always such a pain in the ass when a little indian or mexican kid would order for their parents cuz their parents couldn't speak english.

Teddy Roosevelt, has always been my favorite president. Sure he took a couple liberty's and bent the rules concerning the panama canal. But he actually knew what the fuck he was doing.

Its a shame the Progressives didn't win. Teddy would have never signed off on the Federal Reserve like Woodrow. But we probably would have intervened earlier in WW1 since he thought it was complete bullshit we waited so long to break it up.
