Default 2nd ammendment almost repealed?

I can't believe the vote was that close. Here's what Boortz had to say on it and I have to say that I agree wholeheartedly :

Here's something else you may want to ponder as the uproar over this ruling spreads. (Oh, those poor Brady people). Without the appointments made to the Supreme Court by George W. Bush this probably would have been completely different. With Al Gore in the presidency your right to own a gun for self-defense would have been ripped away today.

Thank you Florida

Imagine if Gore or Kerry had been able to appoint judges to the SCOTUS. Jesus christ, I swear.

I can understand some of the points of the left since I personally am Libertarian (and thus have several socially liberal ideals), but their constant attacking of the core document(s) that makes our country so unique and great just confuses the fuck out of me.

I am totally for the right to arm bears...The poor creatures need a way to defend themselves.

Anyway, it will be a sad day indeed when the government takes away the right for us to be able to defend ourselves. As a matter of fact, I just cleaned my .357 a couple nights ago to make sure I can plug some toolbag that tries to break in. All I know is that it will be one hell of a mess for someone to clean up.

Wow, I had no idea this was so close to being repealed, bless you old confused people of Florida.

I'm sure a major reason for this being an ammendment in the first place is so that the true power of the government lies with the people and it helps us have a means to protect ourselves from people and the government itself.
