Awesome game. I only stopped playing because none of my friends played and the corp I was in mainly consisted of US player = time differnce of 6-9 hours

One of the best MMO's I've ever played tbh. Hardcore learning curve too.

Yea i've not played it but I've heard a lot of great things about it. also there was some sort of economical breakdown a year or so ago, where the largest bank like up and quit and stole a shit ton of money.... i dunno exactly, other people here may be able to explain that situation better. One complaint I've heard is that skills are time based I think, so it takes a long time to get going.

I played this casually for about three months. I kept my stat skills on learning so I never got far into the game but I could tell that it was no place for a casual MMO'er. You need to have a showing and presence. You need to get connected with corps to see any fun game play or else you do nothing but missions defeating NPC pirates or mining in the small league.

As an individual you seem to be nothing when you consider that it takes a large corp of high end players weeks and months of combined efforts to obtain the very high-end ships for war.

This, combined with my anti-social gaming nature made it no place for me. You also have to be a bit of a nerd in a way to get fun out of it and I struggle with that.

same here.. did the trial plus a month and I was like OMFG this is going to take at least 18 months to be on a competitive non noob level.. so i was like pass.. Say what you will about any other grind game this one game defines the term.. If they had allowed skills to be worked and maybe put at 1/2 exp during non play for your time based skills then perhaps it wouldnt had been so bad for me.. I see the videos and see the fun it could be then i realize how long it takes to have that fun.. Count me out.

Gotta admit though even though I quit darkfall I am keeping an eye on it for this upcoming patch.. It sounds its about to fix 60% of everything i hate about it and make it even more UO based. Hell the addition of free roaming wildlife is just an awesome thing in of itself.

Btw is it just me or did December 1st just come out of fucking no where.
