Default Tron Legacy

Saw this Thursday night at the midnight showing on IMAX 3D. I must say, my expectations were pretty high and every one of them were met or exceeded. I genuinely enjoyed this movie.

The story was good, the continuation of the story from the 1982 Tron was good, the acting was good and god... the CGI was amazing.

Two thumbs up.

Excellent, this is on my must-see list. I can hardly remember anything about the first Tron.
Do I need to watch the first one in order to fully enjoy this one?

Well, I was planning on skipping it but I may give it a chance now. I expected a flop.

I don't think watching the 1982 original is necessary, but IMHO it's always better to be somewhat familiar with the previous movies so you get the subtle references (and there are a couple).

Plus, a good part of what I enjoyed about the movie was how well they continued the story so many years later. But the graphics were retarded, the music was good and obviously I enjoyed the story.

But, I'm a sci-fi dork, so I guess that's expected.

I just wish the Sci-Fy channel shows/movies didn't look so cheesy!
