Default Like zombies?

There's a new series on AMC called The Walking Dead and it's one of those post-apocolyptic survival scenarios where most of the world has become zombies. It's super generic but if you like zombies, I'd check it out

super generic? the premiere itself, had far superior acting to nearly any hollywood horror as of late.

second episode not so much..
third back on track.

It has the makings of a damn fine show though.

The beginning reminded me of 28 Days Later, waking up in the hospital with everyone gone

I heard they were only making 6 episodes??

They did which was a smart decision given its core audience, costly special fx and sets, and actor prices they had to test the waters as it were. I mean you don't see obsidian rushing to release New Vegas without properly testing it for bugs.. err wait..

BOT: Season 2 has already been confirmed and put into production fro 13 episodes.

Don't really know where you can go after 19 episodes of the zombiepocolypse though.

I somewhat enjoy this series but it has turned into a soap opera. Where are the zombies? And who the hell stays just outside of a city with hundreds of thousands of zombies running around? Who the hell crawls out of a Tank into a bunch of hungry ass zombies? Just so much stupid shit in this series to even take it serious as it tries to portray itself.

Valid, while your points are well umm.. valid, there are somethings for you to consider.
The Rock Quarry is a tactical advantage being outside of a city, most people who live nearby last heard from tv/radio/internet that the CDC was working on a cure and that Atlanta would be the last bastion of defense in Georgia.

The quarry allowed them to communicate to all incoming and outgoing visitors and perhaps add more to the flock and save lives. It had fresh water in the bottom for bathing, cooking, drinking, swimming, etc.. that had been untainted. Which in a emergency situation clean water, as fallout has taught us, is vital in surviving "the end of days". Plus venison, squirrel, rabbits, and other fresh meat doesn't hurt either.

If rescue operations were to take place a large metropolitan area would likely be the staging ground. Plus all incoming air traffic could be flagged. Zombies are also not necessarily the quietest of killers and the perimeter they set up, while flawed, was also pretty good to protect the surrounding encampment. They should of logged some trees and dug up a trench around the camp and essentially build a beaver dam but thats in hindsight and its a show so lol...

Now about the tank, what do you presume he do? The zombies had him cornered and what was he going to do about shitting, eating, drinking? He took advantage of a spotter and made it to safety which is about all you could hope for in that situation..

Put yourself in the shows shoes and think about what is so different from what you or anybody else would do?

Now that last episode was slow, but it was cool watching her turn.

Holy fuck man, Your in a tank with zombies by the scores outside and you don't even take the time to find out if the fucking thing will run?

The quarry had it's advantages but give me a vehicle and I would try my hardest to find a building that I could barricade up in with food and water that I have gathered and hole up until there is a cure or the dam things die off.
I mean how safe are you in a fucking tent? Tin cans? Get real this show and almost any show about zombies is so damn retarted.
I would have to say that Shaun of the Dead had to be the best yet...... Da da da da da da daaaa.

So what did you think of the season finale?

I always found it odd between people who are of a "faith" belief and the inability for suspension of belief for tv/movies.. Odd that.

First if the tank was working, really think the soldier would just be chilling dead in it? Second, can the sheriff drive a tank, not like there is a manual chilling in the tank with beginner steps to tank driving.

However, I agree with the sentiment of needing to kill more Zombies, ALSO when you were at the CDC, two things could you not find more gas early on to put in the barrels on the outside in vehicles etc. Second when leaving the CDC, loot the dead soldiers for their weapons ammo gear etc.

Lastly connected to the gear, why are people walking around in plain clothes without weapons, even at night. Fuck if there were thousands of zombies for every human, I sure as fuck would be geared to go at all times.

Ya I think this series is fun to watch just because they have zombie in it. But the zombies really take a back seat to the plot of the story, which is really dumb in my opinion.
IF EVERYONE IS DEAD AROUND THE CDC THAT USE TO BE ARMY THEN WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T YOU PLUNDER THE HELL OUT OF THEM!!!!!!! I mean I use to be a GM Looter on UO and I sure as hell could of used a few thousand rounds of ammo and surely to god one of those humvees had gas left in them. It just drives me nuts watching a movie that is just dumb. At least make it interesting to watch without saying OMFG I WOULD DO THIS OR THAT OR THIS!!!!
