Body of Lies
I thought this was an entertaining movie. Russel Crowe did a fine job acting in this film as a CIA operatives manager of some sort. Leo DiCaprio also had a good performance as an undercover intelligence ground agent. The film started out with good action and was fast paced through the entire movie with good dialogue and film direction from Ridley Scott who also was the Director for Alien.
The film had a steady climactic build and ended just right. I wasn't dissapointed at any parts as I usually am with serious movies which usually contain silly dialogue that doesn't belong. Excellent script writing and acting make this movie work. It's not a must see in my opinion but worth renting atleast once or go out and see it in the theatre.
It's worth the $7.50 but it's not the best dating movie if you're taking out a ditzy, girly-girl. I went and saw this with my brother and we were prepared to walk out if the first 10 minutes sucked. We stuck it out like champs and we each killed a monster extreme garlic parmesian pretzel and 64 oz sodas. Good Times.
P.S. Death Race rocked. Jason Stathom is becoming a serious leading actor these days and it's a welcome thing when rough looking dudes can pull off leading rolls. This movie just wouldn't have worked with a Tom Cruise type playing Frankenstein as the hero.
In my opinion, Jason Stathom pulls off the character Vin Diesal has been cast as and falls slightly short on, everytime.
