Going to see it tonight! I'm fucking a jazzed as this is one of my all-time favorite movie series. Can't wait.

Yea, I'm taking work off tomorrow to go see a matinee. Same though... Indiana Jones is my all time favorite movie series... so I am very excited about this.

Cannot wait.

I liked it. I won't give any spoilers, but I give it a solid 7 out of 10.

You really should use a good round # like 6.9 out of 10.

I am probably going to go take my son to see it this weekend.

I agree with this assessment. It was a bit of a letdown on a couple of levels:

1> I really love this series and had unrealistically high expectations for it
2> They really went over the top on a couple of things including the ending

I was also damn near appalled at their attempt at an homage for the person who played Marcus Brody in the previous movies.

With that being said, I did enjoy the movie. Several of the chase/fight scenes were exceptionally well done (as you would expect from the Lucas/Spielberg combo). I'm glad they brought back a major character from the first movie that just up and disappeared afterwards. And of course, it was great to see Indiana Jones again on the big screen.

7.5/10

I was thinking of doing an Indiana Jones marathon before going to see the new release, although I'm a bit weary since I held such high expectations for it and I'm seeing a lot of 6-7's out of 10's...

That's what several of us did (doing a marathon re-viewing of the original series).

Don't be too weary, it's still very much worth seeing. Only reason I gave it a 7.5 was because it was so over the top on a couple of things. I definitely enjoyed it.

Took my son to see Indy this past weekend.

I have to agree with NH. It was kind of over the top in a couple places. Wasn't too thrilled with the ending but what do you expect after taking so long to make a sequel.

Had some really good action scenes and the special effects were done well.

I give it a 7.5. It is definitely worth the trip to see it if you have seen the others and you are an Indy fan.

It's just like Star Wars...You just have to go see it so you can say you saw the whole series
