If you have ever seen behind the scenes features and interviews with heaths co stars on any of his movies
They all say in one way or another that he loses himself in his character and then when they yell cut he's back to his fun self.
After brokebutt mountain he had a child with michele williams. After he was done filming the dark knight she left him and took matilda his young daughter which depressed him so that is why he had the anti depressants and if you see interviews on how heath was with his child they will say the same thing he loved her and he was set in a depressed state when he wasn't going to be able to see her on a daily basis anymore
At this time he through him self into another role which I don't know wtf its about but apparently according to the cast he was thrown into locations where it would be cold and wet where they said he was sick. The cast also knew that he hadn't been sleeping and suffering from insomnia which he had pills to take.
When he was found dead from ODing the media labeled it a suicide which in my mind was completely false because they released that all the medication had there caps on
He had sleeping pills for his insomnia and anxiety pills which I can only assume was for his depression
The doctors said that they shouldn't be taken together and that ppl die from doing it all the time.
I truly believe that it was a accidental OD seeing what they foiund at the apartment and I don't know anyone who would be a deusche bag and leave there kid alone on purpose.
This has been a E! True hollywood somthing brought to you by shank.
Ps sorry for grammar I'm on my bb in a car

HOWEVER, I cannot let the above comparison go without comment.
Please don't compare Walken and Ledger. Christopher Walken is the fucking man. Ledger is someone that couldn't handle playing a bad guy to the point that he OD'd on anti-depressants. Not even talking apples and oranges here.... Ledger just couldn't hack being "evil" because the mindset of the joker was so disturbing to him that it gave him nightmares, made him need to take pills, etc.
Waaaaa.... pussy.
I'm looking forward to the movie, but to me Ledger will always be a pissant that occasionally did something moderately noteworthy.

Im fairly sure the way he prepared for his roll was to lock himself up in a hotel room and write in a journal as the joker to get in the mindset. I'd probably get nightmares too. Didn't the girl in the original exorcist need to go through therapy and still cant watch her movie?

Who knows we may hear someday of a mal-practice suit against whomever prescribed this medication without proper information against fatal combos....
Things that still urk me though is Bale's batman voice, how the fuck did joker manage to sneak all that explosive in that hospital, not enough joker lines ( which i am being greedy there was plenty of him just not enough), not enough 2-face, and whoever replaces the role of the Joker better damn well be amazing.
I laughed fucking loudly at two parts especially: one which was previously mentioned " do you want to see a magic trick? " " I am going to make this pencil disappear. " and 2 " I am just like a dog chasing a car after I catch it I dont know what to do with it "
and by-the-way if that situation with 2 boats ever occured in real life bet your ass one of them boats is going to be rusting on the ocean floor.
Wall-e and the dark knight have done summer movies justice... and if you havent seen wall-e by all means you should. No matter what your prejudices are at your age towards animated films its truly a joy to see on the silver screen and you will laugh at least 15 times.
So what other movies are you all interested that are up and coming?
Nighthawk what did Ally think of the dark knight?

Best movie I've seen in awhile, though I'm waiting to see the new hulk on dvd since they cut out over an hour of footage that edward norton added. Ledgers role was well done, But I still don't like him or his gay cowboyness...

I thought it was an incredibly well done movie. I think that Heath Ledger did a fanfuckingtasic job as the joker...better than Nicholson.
It was more than I expected, but was (in my opinion) a little too long.
I also think you guys need to back off Heath Ledger.

well said...
as far as your comment for it being too long I agree whole heartedly.. i think that hong kong trip could have been dramatically reduced.. and been filled with more Joker...
My favorite villain type has always been the methodical planner who has the foresight to see how things are played out before they happen and anticipate many different outcomes. The ones who use ruthless genius, cunning manipulation, and rambo guile. Its these like hannibal lector, emperor palpatine, joker, and many others that stick out the most and usually have a huge fan base imho.
Which also brings me to a question that i cannot even begin to answer... Who do you think could bring what heath did to portray the Joker? Should they swing A-list or find someone under the radar?
I think one person who could honestly based on his performance on (Good Will Hunting ) and face structure is Matt Damon ( just trust me )
edit: IMDB has this movie listed at 1 of all time.. 3 points above godfather, 5 over shawshank redemption... is it that good or are people just suffering from being geeked out and hype? I mean personally I would give it a 8.8 but I dont think it is nowhere near the greatest movie of all time.. is it really better ( on a whole ) than something like Schindlers list?

#1 movie of all time?? Give me a break. It was good, but not even close to deserving that type of honor.
As far as who will play The Joker next, I don't have a clue. I was a pretty big Heath Ledger fan and enjoyed almost everything I ever saw him do. I am glad that he will be most remembered for this role because I think it was his best, by far.

Well
If you asked me I thought that had to be the worst Batman was ever portrayed. Terrible fight scenes and that low voice was overdone.
Seemed a great movie because the Bareback king was dead before release so maybe everyone was thinking it was so damn good because it was his last performance???
