Default Snowed in

So I'm finally up in Greenville, SC. I left Florida for work as a design engineer and I can't say I'm too pleased with the weather. Having a couple extra vacation days due to inclement weather is nice. We got 6 inches yesterday which partially melted and refroze overnight as ice on the roads. I used to live in Raleigh, NC so I know this is unusual for the area. EVERYTHING shuts down when something like this happens and for some reason, all these assholes up here go out and buy milk, bread, and eggs. Wtfman? What are you going to do with that shit when the power goes out? Are you going to bake fucking brownies on a coleman stove? I went to the grocery store and bought 10 cans of Hormel chili. I should have bought 5 cans of Hormel chili and 5 cans of dinty moore stew. Because right now I'm ruining the fabric on my sofa. Perhaps the dinty moore wouldn't have helped... I should have also bought 5 bottles of febreeze. When you open the can of chili and the stuff plops out into the pan it looks exactly like it does when it hits the toilet water. Seriously, don't buy hormel chili. I should have gotten milk eggs and bread.

I'm in Colorado and we've seen some snow.... Biggest problem right now is it doesn't get above 0 before noon.

Yesterday we ventured into work and the roads were still pretty bad. We get above freezing during the day and drop below overnight, so all the snow melts and then refreezes as sheets of ice on the road. You have to drive super slow and I still was seeing lots of cars in ditches and people sliding through intersections. No one knows how to drive in SC to begin with and add some ice (which is rare here) and it tops the retard scale.
