hahaha its worse.. although if you like a state a lot like Texas then SC is for you. If you live in the big cities it should be fine.

We're moving to Greenville which seems like a pretty nice area. Looked at 26 houses last weekend and thinking about putting an offer in on one that was built in June of this year (no chinese drywall!). You can get A LOT of house for your money right now, and if you think it's the bottom of the market, which it may or may not be, maybe I'll make a little money. I'm sure the housing market will take 5 or 10 years to come back but I consider myself fairly handy around the house and it beats pissing away a grand a month on rent.

I'm in Florida right now which is okay, except it seems to be populated by assholes and old people that come here to die. Yea, the beach is nice but I think I only went like 5 or 6 times this summer. Gets kind of old after awhile. We're more into camping and hiking and Greenville is right on the edge of the mountains in the "upstate." You can still get the water but it's like 2 hours or so to the beach I think. Should be an adventure
