Default Fresh Thread...Where are you in life?

So after reading the post about how nothing goes on, it came to light that maybe everyone is doing something in their lives that has more worth than gaming...shock I know.

I'll start it off. I quit my job after saving a substantial sum of money and traveled the world/nation visiting friends and family and random people I barely knew. Japan was on the top of my list to visit, and at 5'11'' weighing 195 (I got muscles) I was like Godzilla on steroids to them. First off being a heavy drinker and being Irish, I out drank EVERYONE, not that it was that hard, but still. Furthermore they do have flashing neon signs everywhere, if you have ever watched a cartoon/anime/movie with flashing neon signs representing the urban culture of Japan it is true, to this day I am surprised I did not have a seizure.

Barring my superiority in size they wtfowned me in technology, having a droid might seem cool, but that is like so last year to them. Furthermore the fact that they have a town dedicated to gaming (no shit like A TOWN) where you can find everything from popular titles to the most obscure shit ever makes they leaps and bounds past our Gamestops. After feeling deflated about gaming we decided to check out the food. The food was intriguing especially since I will try anything once, I sucked the brains out of something and ate "things" which my half-japanese friend didn't even know of.

Club/bar life was much better than the states simply for the fact you could always find a place that was open. We also made the mistake of hailing a cab to a bar where we were taken to a brothel (which are everywhere). But as I was white, have muscles and have a pretty face I did not need to pay for girls. I shit you not I walked into a bar and half the women turned to get a look at me, and I think it was just because I was white, you could be the ugliest white guy on earth and you would get play. Best part of it was my friend who can speak decent japanese played it off like I was an MMA fighter and he was my promoter, best decision ever, free booze and women!

I am now studying for the ASTB aka officer exam for the Navy and will be entering the Navy in the next few months. I play WoW occasionally because I cut myself off drinking to be in cardio shape (WoW occupies time...), as I am sure the Navy is going to try and break me down.

So what is everyone else doing?

Well, I hate my job, and am constantly on the path to finding a new one. My just turned one, and my daughter will be 6 in may. She's in kindergarten now and learning times tables, and im concerned that taking her into public school will ruin all the shit she's learned so far... Hard decision. I'm also looking for a new place. Living with in-laws until we can find a new place, but it's rather hard to find a place for some reason. My wife and I just had our 4 year anniversary.

Dead season (spring/summer) is coming up, so i will be doing less than nothing at work. I'm an engineer for a tire chain company, so summer pretty much means bring in the ds and sleep all day.

As for gaming I just beat bioshock 2, playing ME 2, and a whole lot of league of legends.

I went to japan. It was awesome. I really want to go back.

How would you rate Bioshock 2 to the original? And I am pretty sure I learned my Times tables in 2nd or 3rd grade and I went to private school? Wtf are they doing to kids these days!

She is in a montesorri school. It is scary how smart she is. She is going to be fucking trouble and a half when she gets those goddamn lady hormones.

Bioshock 2 is def. better than 1. First, you get to be a big daddy, so you get badass weapons, second you don't have to switch from weapon to plasmids, you got plasmids in one hand, weapons in the other. multiplayer is pretty damn fun too.

where am I in life
well first off I took place in a huge fighting event (100+ fighters)

that was kick ass,I took and arrow to the eye that hurt like hell, shield bashed a guy in the face (in the picture 1 second before impact ) which was enjoyable enough but getting to repeatedly hit him after he went down even better
we did practice the other day and my lungs decided to remind me about how they are failing and I took a hit and coughed up blood for a few minutes as well as feeling like I had swallowed my tonsils and they got lodged in my throat.other than that just peachy.

I went to Grand Cayman Islands

and Cozumel Mexico

Mexicans are green?

survived the winterpocalypse

and sent one of my guys to the mental institution forever
same ol same ol,life goes on and still not gaming

Since I haven't posted since god-knows-how-long...

Wall-o-text waring!

I get moving violation #3 and demoted from schoolbus driver to bus monitor. Since there is no need for monitors at the time of my demotion I get to go on unemployment with nice helping of "Your a good employee, but we need fewer drivers. So don't come back". 10 years of driving kids around down the drain. So, I grab my brother's Pharmacy Tech study guide pass the Excpt and get licensed and certified. 100+ resumes later, I get told that nobody will hire somebody with zero experience. How do get that? Internships, but you need liability insurance. Since I have next to nothing for funds I search every place I could volunteer but nobody has the time to train. So my brother's wife tells me look into the local community college. Sure enough they do and they have an placement program! But first I have to sit in a test prep class for 1 semester and pay $340 and $40 more for a book I don't need!

So here I sit a few days after the last class and I get my first bit of good fortune. The internship list just got 2 new openings and I am 1 of 2 people in the class that already have a license. So I will get placed soon.
