You know I hate seeing these forums as dead as they are. No new content, no front page posts, nothing. Does it have to be this way? No. Why is this way? We are busy and there isn't a game one out right now that we can all get behind *multiplayer of course* and say is loads of fun, limitless potential, can't get enough, and never gets boring. There have been several on the PC that I can claim that honor for, UO and Battlefield 2 for example, but I will be damned if there isn't a gaming drought from the likes I haven't seen since PC gaming had exploded on the scene with the invention of Voodoo graphics. Me personally I want 1997 and definitely 1999 back. Sadly it seems those days are long gone.

But we have these forums!

So I am requesting from any of you daily readers to make one post a day or every 2 days that has links to funny shit, links to games that others may like, links to todays interesting and wierd news. Shit I dunno sad to say even though he went a little crazy I wish Fused88 was still around. I just found old 3.2 gig hard drives of mine that had been put in storage that I can't wait to check out and see whats on them. I am hoping for screenshots of UO. Or at the very least old ventrilo conversations recorded that is comedy gold. But I digress. So lets turn this bitch around. Lets give wtfman the cash for clunkers treatment.

Get a big group of people to start playing UO Second Age and you'll have plenty of material to rant on about for awhile.

It would be nice if Ryan/Zippy or someone from RunUO would update their Razor negotiation software to allow servers to have better control over the program to remove all the insane cheating capacities that are possible.

I'm all for getting the site more active. I'll try and post every day or two and reply to more threads. My Daughter is getting old enough to where I can be on the computer more.

I however, dont think anything UO related besides old stories/pictures/flash vids is the way to go. Its really a dead horse and even if alot of us did start playing it would end within a month or two and leave us where we are. Besides WTFman has ties with RunUO and supporting a server outside of Ryan's would be a bit back stabbing imo. He does after all host this site for free.

The only type of UO I might be interested in would be a free stat/skill server that comes up one night a week or so for a, "WTFman Tourny" or something like that. I would never actually play UO again but I would jump in tourny mode once a week. Maybe something along the lines of the first week of the month is a 1v1 tourny, 2nd is a group tourny, 3rd is a FFA tourny and 4th is a team capture the flag. If Ryan would make something like that on a copy of one of the servers scripts or the Divinity original script that would be something worth doing and might bring some shit talk to the boards.

Good idea tho Judas, I had the same feelings as you awhile back and when Divinity got relaunched with wtfman support we saw activity jump up but like anything related to playing the dead horse it fizzled out rather quickly.


Edit: Also. NH and/or Ryan if your interested in the tourny server idea I have a ton of ideas for new PvP games with UO ive thought up over the years and a few ways that a server like that could make donation money off them.

Some WTFman schwag would also be nice. I know that a few online companies offer the retail shops that make shirts/hats/mugs ect at no cost to wtfman. Could be a nice way to do some rl advertising for the site and a way for us to rock wtfman gear which is something ive always wanted.

And NH remember, its not selling out, its buying in! Your the last man standing and alot of hard labor has gone into this site over the years and I see no reason you should see no financial benefit for all the years of doing it for the love.

Ooh Ooh and I know we have an IRC but does this style board support any type of Java chat?
