"In the meanwhile if you want to play on the American server at launch you need to buy the American Darkfall client."

Looks like us pay to play beta testers will have to wait 3 months and then pay $80 if we want to play our characters with good ping. Sounds like the NA launch is truly the real retail hope you guys who were holding out have a blast, the first 3 months before transfers will kick ass.

"Clarification: American players wanting to clone and transfer their characters do not have to buy another client. Everyone else needs to buy the American Darkfall client to play on the American server. The European rights and the American rights to Darkfall do not belong to the same company, therefore you cannot freely transfer between the two territories, as is the case with most MMORPGs. Our offer of character cloning / transfer to American players is because we had said that we would try to accommodate them should they want to start playing on the European server."

I like the "free expansion" that hits right before NA server goes live. I think by "free expansion", they mean beta to retail upgrade. So nice of them to upgrade you to retail for free, after paying to beta for months.

For the people who did pay to beta, choices for playing on NA suck....1) pay for NA client and have to restart completely 2) Wait three months then pay to move your character.

This game has lost sooo many people its disturbing. Personally though I am glad he clarified: American players wanting to clone and transfer their characters do not have to buy another client, that was going to be the straw that broke the camels back if I had to buy an American client cause thats just bullshit. Seems to me to be a bait and switch. however Mortal Online just announced pre purchase plans with full access to beta for doing so. Good bye DF on to MO I go. On a side note I will be giving away all my shit on euro server soon so I will keep you posted. On a side side note MO will be my last attempt for an mmo otherwise its the year of the sequel in console games and my god does Assassins Creed 2 look sexy

I will play the NA release. Missed to many chances for good skills on the EU server with all the changes they made, and got my account late. Hate to fight people with 99 rigor when I don't have 99 rigor. The question I have is, why the fuck can't game companies come up with a simple "7x GM" system like UO did? Would make life easy.

OK this whole buying a new client thing is bullshit... My chars sucks enough to where waiting 3 months would be a waste of time... I'm going to have to buy another copy of this game and its REALLY pissing me off... I guess I can always try and sell my account...

i have 2 accounts that havent even been logged into for nearly 2 weeks. Contemplating giving away all my Euro items as I have little to no interest in this game. Which is actually a shit ton as I cannot hold everything I have on one char and a clan bank. I really think I am done. I am surprised there are those who still think it is fun tbh. I supported it as long as I could and now the new car smell is gone I am left with the subtle whiffs of shit and sour. I could live with the 3 month time frame of transfer as I know this server is going to be a fucking ghost town once NA-1 goes live. But before I commit to playing any further I need to know what restrictions will be placed on transfers other than items. The only thing redeeming to me is small scale pvp large scale is so ridiculously buggy I want to throw my keyboard especially at the last raid I took part in. So now I am done for now till i find out info. I just cant grind this shit anymore.
