Hrmm seems pretty lame they are doing character transfers. It will make things extremely difficult for newer players to establish themselves if whole guilds can simply transfer their 4 month old characters. I could only imagine what UO would have been like if anyone could transfers chars when a new server came up.

I really hate to say this after investing all this time into my character, but I would love a fresh start on a new server. Between the Rigor/acid pools, TM exploiting the best loot, and various other bouts of ultimate douchebaggery, I'd welcome a new beginning on this.

But I'd settle for a lower ping if I couldn't have the former.

There will be a US2 and EU2 server, those will be fresh-start servers without character transfers. I cant find the quote but its somewhere in their forums.

Edit: provided that they have enough playerbase.

Well that's another issue entirely...if the servers start to cannibalize, we'll lose that rich political landscape we have right now. Iiiiiiiinteresting dilemma....

that article mentions nothing about immediate character transfers.. Don't believe it will happen right away not for one moment.

Everyone is saying character transfers won't be live for 2-3 months after the server goes live...so that may help even things out.

Even though I've missed out on some of the ways to skill up quick, I was leveling enough before that it'd probably be in my best interest not to play on NA until I could transfer. Plus, I could keep skilling up and using up all my resources since it sounds like possessions won't be transferred with the character.

The rest of the guys I'm guilded with now are planning on going to NA when server transfer is available, things could change but that's the plan atm.
