New Blizzard MMO

Whether you love or hate World of Warcraft, you have to admit that Blizzard is damn good at what they do. And with WoW's lead developer admitting to an "upcoming unannounced MMO" back in February, I thought it would be cool to venture guesses as to what franchise/genre the game will be. I know we're all hoping for a sandbox, and maybe that's not too far out of the question since Blizzard doesn't want to create any serious competition for their #1 cash cow. So let's see who gets it right..

World of Starcraft:
FPS style twitch combat. Full loot with some decent PvE. You can play as Protoss, Terran, or Zerg. Interplanetary travel and dog fights will be major components of this game as you skill up your flying abiilty and board people's ships to hijack their shit at point blank range. Also, there will be boobs.

As long as Darkfall can sustain a playerbase and show profit I think its money in the bank that Blizzard makes a clone of it.

Blizzard will clone Darkfall and put it in pretty clothes and proceed to increase their strangle hold on pay to play MMO games.

The only thing Blizzard has to offer in the future that I am even remotely interested in is Diablo 3. I don't pay any attention to anything else they do because I never cared for any of the other games they created.

My guess? WoW2.

I do like what blizzard does though. They have something for everyone just lack more variety in each area. That ends up working out great though in one way because they can focus more attention on getting things right. I played Diablo 2 for a long time and the only thing I really didn't care for was how linear the game play was. Diablo 3 looks almost the same though but that's fine I suppose. It really isn't a MMO it's more like a solo RPG with the ability to do co-op through the net.

I disagree. I think your opinion is based only on WoW. I think WoW is the only case in which they made garbage sparkle and everyone bought it.

And Blizzard is a damned sight better than EA. I have yet to find a single EA game that wasn't a major let down. I played enough bad EA games at this point and simply refuse to buy or play any game with their logo on it.

I loved diablo 2, me and my friends would all get together and make different classes and play together, giving each other the best weapons for each class. Also with their improved friends list we always knew who was on and we would just have a lot of fun, i miss those co-op moments when we had to work together to get past all the bosses... it was a blast, cant wait for diablo 3.
