I'm in Splitters which until last weekend were a part of the Forest Republic (Erinthel ring a bell *waves*) . Now that alliance more or less has split up and Splitters now roll with Savage. We're still based in Erinthel tho.

The politics in this game are more and more turning into EVE, which makes it even more exciting to log on every day without ever knowing if the city you're bound to has been taken or if yesterday's allies are now today's enemies.

If I wasn't so fricken busy right now I would definitely give this game a shot. From the sounds, it's UO 2009. I love the way in your post you state "UO wasn't perfect upon it's release.". Subtly implying it was later perfect.

i havent been on my xbox since.. NH can attest to this.. However we just got hit with a new patch today that seriously disrupts my flow. To the point of breaking my keyboard. This game is the hardest game to skill period. Fuck eve, this game trumps eve and now they made it where you cant gain any skill with starter noob weapons... F That shit..

they also made it to where you can only have a max alignment of 10 from 100. Which means I can kill one player from my race but not gank him without going red and THATS IT, which is retarded. Each kill takes like 6 or 8 alignment for some odd reason I am second guessing myself the number but meh. Those 2 changes are game breakers. The grind in this game is crazy hard. Now its just that much harder.

Overall I'm happy with the patch and warmly welcome especially the gate add they made.

I don't mind the conscript weapon change. It will hopefully encourage people to actually start wearing gear now instead of running around naked all the time when harrasing player cities and hamlets. It will also help weaponcrafters so they can sell more of their wares. A rank 10 2hand sword is 90gp so it's not that bad imo.

Doing both finishing blows to a player of your own faction makes you lose 8 aligment so you can murder 1 player and then you have to go kill enemy faction to get back to 10, which means 2-4 kills afaik. I think it's bullshit but I can see why they made it so cuz I pretty much had my alignment maxed all the time unless I just had been on a murder spree.
