Here it is in all its glory, the Top 25 albums of 2008. The disclaimer to this post is that this is purely my opinion, but any of you who know me, know I will take it as unadulterated fact. I am Joe, and I'm right about this shit.

lol Link Fail.

UPDATE: I spoke too soon it seems that you all could see something I wasn't. Then I switched to Internet Explorer and low and behold the front page was changed. Switched to Mozilla no dice.. Odd.

on a side note I no longer like metal.. I grew out of it. I never saw the draw in shouting and cranking the speakers to eleven sounds good on paper but meh.. Suffice to say I know only two of those bands Motorhead and Metallica and I definitely have to disagree with death magnetic despite my lack of metal taste. That album was shit in a shit jewel case with shit shrink wrap. Best since Justice for all? I would love to hear a rational explanation on how it can even compare to Justice for all. Blasphemy shall not be tolerated. May your first born ( or second or third as the case may be ) be cursed with a superfluous third nipple in the shape of the title Nickelback.

I completely agree with Amon Amarth, Eluveitie, and Opeth.

Those albums are their best yet, I think. Opeth is a toss up still with Blackwater Park for me, but their shit is just getting better and better.

LoL, I've only ever heard of 2 of those (and probably only ever heard a song from 1, gee I wonder which?).

I dunno, I think the new Opeth is a bit of a step back from Ghost Reveries. No song on the new one hits me like "The Grand Conjuration" or "Baying of the Hounds" did.

All this means is that you have a lot of new bands to look into

Oh I don't doubt that. I stopped following music so long ago. Dunno why. Although I was never into metal really, more of a fan of alternative back in the early/mid 90's.

Didn't mean my comment as a knock on your list, but about how out of touch I've gotten. Heck even more mainstream music like what is available for the Rock Band games and I'm clueless on a ton of them too.

Hmmm, so you seriously think that Death Magnetic is WORSE than Metallica, Load, Reload, and St. Anger? Really? I cannot imagine why any sane person would feel this way.

Also, I never said that the new record "compared" to ...And Justice For all, I said it was their best SINCE that album. Also, seriously, have you given a really good listen to this album? Death Magnetic is damn near the same album as far as song structures, and song order goes. It's really sort of eerie.

That being said though, Justice shits all over Death Magnetic, and will continue to do so until I pass away.
