And as to your Deicide comment, you're gunna have to bear with me as I tell you to fuck RIGHT off. Their first 4 albums shit all over a LOT of so-called Death Metal nowadays, and while they did slip for a while, The Stench of Redemption is one of the best overall Death Metal records in a long fucking time. The newest album however? Total shit.
I am curious, however, which "1 decent song" you think is good.

who cares? every song sounds the same. some faggy satanist (whose voice you cannot even understand) screaming to the sound of a double bass pedal and drop D tuning.

My favorite bands tend to fall under the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal genre, I do enjoy some death metal. I'm not nearly as picky about my music as a lot of others so I tend to take a lot of flak because I enjoy most pop music that isn't rap or country. Would you consider most of those albums on that top 25 list Death Metal or are some like Metallica a little less hard and understandable?
I think my favorite band will remain as Tool for a long time to come, it's just great music to close your eyes and listen for all the intricate parts of their music. I know, I know 10,000 days was released in 2006/2007 I forget which.

No, not all of them are Death Metal. Poisonblack, Warrel Dane, Death Angel, Motorhead, Gama Bomb, Protest The Hero, Testament are all what I would consider definitely not Death Metal. I would say to check them all out and see if you find something you like.

You've got some pretty awesome taste in music, I'm buying at least 6 new albums because of you. Anyway you should check out Equilibrium, epic death-metalish band from Germany.

Kind-of shitty quality since it's from youtube but w/e.
