You can attack anybody if you go into the White Sands Isle, althought my experience is that when I attack somebody lower or on par with my level somebody else is always quick to jump in and kill me with a higher lvl.

IMO, your screenshots do look pretty terrible and my game looks nothing like those screens, but I run a windowed 1680x1050 with 8x Anisotropic filtering and 8xQ AA. Without high res and AA most games look bad, even new ones.

Does everyone now enjoy the game? I'm considering whether or not I should buy it. I was fairly anti Age of Conan once i heard about zones and movement restrictions. Also from what I've seen in some videos, the PvE is fairly retarded but that isn't really why I play MMO's anyway. I was going to wait for Darkfall to come out, but who was I kidding it'll be awhile.

I've actually quit the game at this point. I wanted to stick with it and get up into the high end content/PvP but I really just can't stomach it right now. My friend is a high level Barbarian (60's I think) and kind of enjoys it, but I just don't see the fun in it just yet.

Maybe in a few months... but by then perhaps Darkfall's beta will be out.

What's this talk about Darkfall? You guys actually believe it will ever release? Maybe I missed some breaking news about its development?

I still enjoy AoC and am really looking forward to the upcoming PvP changes that they're working on. Currently there's no risk vs reward when pvping and that is one of the things they're changing.

Tasos announced they are pushing for a 2008 release. Given how evasive he's been in the past about announcing anything solid, this is pretty decent news.

I'm not a believer until I see a pre-order box in the store. AoC is fun imo, sure leveling up can suck at times in any game but I'm typically having fun going along and it's mostly been solo. We are still ramping up in JoV, plus I play later at night than most of them, so it should get more grouped as we start getting some 80s.

Don't give up on it so soon cr0ss, it has promise, especially with all the changes going in.... shit, 2 patcher per week.
