I knew WAR was just going to end up being RvR 2.0. It wasn't hard to figure out when Mythic announced they were going to do it. Yea, nice that you can level off of PvP. But you're still levelling and you might as well just say you're playing WoW or EQ if you even think "Ding!".

It's so true. I thought i was done with MMO's after I Stopped EQ... but World of Warcraft sounded so fucking cool, cuz it was blizzard, and I already loved Warcraft lore. If it were more people who knew who like... grom hellscream was, or what frostmourne actually did or whatever.... I might still be playing.

On a similar note, i feel like a total fucking retard, because I played WAR for about three weeks before I realized it wasn't wh40k, just plain wh. I'm a fucking idiot.

That was the only motivation to play WoW for me too. Blizzard lore. I loved Warcraft 2 and completely dug Warcraft 3 and it's progressive storyline. Because you know... there was one. A story unfolded with each mission you did and with 3, it got more complex and more in depth.

Then in one fell swoop... Blizzard totally throws it into the shallow end with WoW.

I think I got an Orc Shaman to the mid 30's and realized that I was, in fact, wasting my time.
