What a waste of a life, But I guess all he would be good for is playing WoW anyway.

That sort of crap reminds me of a few people I have met that basically "take care" of their grandma and just play MMOs all day. When really they just live off their social security and savings and don't do shit.

If anyone can live off of a Social Security check and enjoy the quality of life it affords them then I applaud them. To each his own.

I sometimes regret the time I spent on UO. But then I always enjoy sitting with my brother at a restaurant and laughing at our gaming experiences also.

The 1st Sgt in my company actually plays WOW with a Major in the same guild. It was strange to listen to 2 SFC's talk about their WOW chars the other day.

I think your missing the point. If someone is living off their grandma/grandpa's social security. Essentially just mooching off of them and playing video games instead of contributing to society or at least taking care of themselves. Then that's just pathetic and IMO a waste of human flesh.

I have friends both discharged and still in the military who play WoW and now some play Warhammer in their free time.

I didn't miss the point. My opinion on the matter is that whatever he likes to do is his own business. It's his life to "waste" and for all we know he could be rich and retired. I didn't read about his age I skimmed the article. Nothing was written about his life, the beauty of the article was that it left us wondering how the fuck he can live like that. And here we are making the assumptions about all those details the article left out.

I
think it's a waste of life but he may have already lived what he considers a full life or this may be what life to him is all about.

Shit, I thought it was a waste of my life juggling 3 accounts at one point.

It was fun, I had a blast. But I also made sure I took care of my stuff IRL as well.
