Suggestion: PC Gaming Section

And I mean real PC games not MMOs. I'll cite some examples.



Dragon Age

Stalker

Siege of Avalon

Crysis

Age of Decadence

Eschalon

Fallout 1, 2, and yes.... even bethesda's 3.

Neverwinter Nights

Baldur's Gate

Half Life

The many Command and Conquer games.

The multiple Dune games.

Starcraft 1 and soon to be 2

All the PC Sim's games.

Black and White 2

etc...


Yes, I'm aware some of those games have been ported to consoles, but some console games have been ported to the PC. In either case the PC version is almost always superior in graphics, resolution and some even have extra content added. For instance Bio-ware's Jade Empire and Lionhead's Fable both had extra content added for the PC version.

As will the soon to be released GTA IV. All of the GTA games have been reworked for the PC. And for those that need to have a gamepad to play those games. The PC supports more controller designs then any console ever will. Infact a few people took the time to make the Nintendo Wii controller work on the PC.

We don't need a new section just to discuss PC or console games. Just use general for that.

If we actually wanted a keyboard for the XBOX it would be simple as shit to sell them with the system. I am a casual gamer and nothing beats playing a game from bed or the couch. That is the main reason I prefer a console controller over PC keyboard.

I agree PC is superior only because you can drop $300 dollars on a better video card and buy more ram but not so much on the content part. The PC is still the ultimate gaming machine but the console system has many benefits that make it a better choice for many of us.

I'll expand them as needed. I don't think we need a PC gaming discussion area. Do you really thin we need to spread out the MASSIVE 10 posts we have daily to 10 different forums? Don't get your feelings hurt just because I disagree with you. I don't do well with people with such thin skin.

Heh. Maybe I should have clarified more of what I was thinking. I just thought it'd be cool to have a forum filled mainly with game reviews and discussion pertaining to console games...and to be fair, yes we'd probably have to make a PC one...or how about just a "Game" forum...much like how we have one for movies.

I like being able to just go to the movies section and read about movies. Thought it'd be cool for games, as well, not having to sort through all random (off-topic) stuff that gets posted here.

The big games (mainly MMOs) would still get their own forum if enough people were playing them.

But yeah, just a suggestion, definitely didn't think this would start a big PC vs Console games debate.

And the xbox does get great games usually in a time frame for which I rather play 6 months early then wait for some additional content that i can just pirate instead. I can play with all my friends who can afford 299 for a xbox on gears of war 2 for the entire year it will remain exclusive before the pc.
