WAR (front page post)

So I got into the Warhammer Online beta via Fileplanet, just to see what the game was all about. Being an avid fan of hating just about every MMO out there, I felt sure I was going to hate this one too. After the disappointment that was Age of Conan (Why was that piece of shit hyped so much? Disney could have made a better MMO.) I thought this was going to be another repeat.

Damn those screenshots look like WoW.

Probably not going to hop into this game right away. Rockband 2 is gonna be my priority since it comes out Sunday.

I hope this turns out to be good. We need something to play.

Great post Cross. Pretty much covered most of the questions I have been wanting answered. As much as I hate on WoW it kept me playing for a decent amount of time, so if this is WoW with better PvP I am all for it.

I thought some of those screenshots were WoW comparisons until I looked closer. Enough said. I am just not a fan of mmorpgs since the year 2000. I think I will play Dawn of War again.

same.. wow by any other name is still wow. I gave WoW the 14 day trial a chance long ago and then again when it was time to expand. I dont care if war provides enhanced pvp. Has anyone watched the intro trailer to War? I thought it was fucking lord of the rings setting mated with Blizzard CGI artists with a little WoW thrown in for good measure. Why would anyone from WoW with ,wrath of the lich king looming for release this oct/nov, why even bother with this rip-off bullshit. Seriously, what good reason would a WoW player especially one in WotLK beta even jump ship? And do not give me the argument that warhammer is first or unique property. For one, Warcraft 1 is older than warhammer, and 2 its all Tolkien ripoffs period.

wc 1 older than warhammer? Might want to do some more research. It's not a WoW rip off. Just because they look similiar doesn't mean they are the same.
