lol, first of all, my sentence on intellectual property came after my sentence about EA so it was about EA. Just because the property is sound doesn't mean EA cant fuck it up which I am just going to go ahead and say it has. So your game has correct lore... well so does Age of Conan what of it? or does warhammer lore help you get through a MoB any better than WoW lore?

Everything has ripped off Tolkien so whoever tries to create a unique property with orks and dwarves has to do so off of Tolkien. However, I am sure some are going to argue that even though some elements are borrowed, an idea can evolve into something unique and with its own merit i.e. Harry Potter. This much is true a little kick start is needed every now and then to get the creative juices going. However, there are those like myself that are still going to be unable to enjoy it.

I bag on warhammer mmo not warhammer itself. Its EA trying to bank on a property using what is fundamentally WoW paint. I can't really see the DAoC comparison yet as I have not played it but I will take any word comparing the two loosely. I can see traces of DAoC in the trailers and videos but.. meh so what you people are saying is this:

War is like playing DAoC with wow paint. No thanks. Nope I need something unique, fresh, or at the very least if its going to borrow it better god damn well feel uniquely fresh. Jaded Gamer cries, DARKFALL!!!!!!!
and yes I will take a borrowed UO game any day over a borrowed WoW game.

I really enjoyed WOW until TBC expansion came out. What made wow horrible for me is that fact that they started pushing out so much shit that you needed to play 24/7 to keep up with teh grinds and new sets of gear. Pre TBC i really enjoyed it as there really wasnt that much rep grind bullshit going on.

As for pvp the arena was a joke. It was all templates to be honest and once you reached a certain point you couldnt get a higher ranking unless you became the cookie cutter template for that bracket.

So if warhammer stays the fuck away from rep grinds and stupid shit like that I believe it can be a successful game.

No I dont think I will even free as it stands, until retail. Not just because EA is on the title but because its nothing more than WoW with a heavier pvp focus. Which for some, and I will admit, isnt entirely a bad prospect. However I am just going to stick it out till I see the beta or the nail of Darkfall. Therefore I cannot be confused and lulled into to some other MMO's addiction traps. I can always find something about an MMO to like. I just rather not even give it a try based on what I have seen and about 20% of it being EA... EA will ruin that game down the road mark my words.

After they fucked over UO why would I even begin to support something else by them? Why would anyone with knowledge of what they did to that game support them now?

EA has ruined 2 of my favorite online games UO and battlefield 2. I will pass.

Not gonna say I love the game. But I can't say it's as terribad of a game as WoW.

Too soon to say tbh, only beta'd for under 10 hours so far.

I'd drop it for Darkfall in a second though.

Now I know you don't know what you're talking about. Games Workshop could not possibly rip off Tolkien, seeing as how they made Tolkien games themselves. If anything, Tolkien is a huge PART of Games Workshops and its storylines and ideas, not a rip off.

You're bagging on a game you haven't even played that is based on something you have no problem with. Calling it "WOW Paint" is a joke, considering Warhammer has been around for decades longer than WOW. Youre basically saying that a Ford Model T is "Corvette paint".

1. My post wasnt covering BS at all butter troll. On the second page of this Thread 2nd post down you will find me saying: However, I still stand firm on my rip-off accusations as the similarities are what they are. EA always does this though. 2. Games workshop couldn't rip off a book written in the mid 1900's? Since D&D is a ripoff of the Tolkien universe and expanded upon, followed by warhammer that rips off D&D and Tolkien Universe and expanded on.. right makes no sense huh? 3. Its easy to justify calling it wow paint moron, when I am referring to the MMO. The mmo of warcraft ( NOT THE FUCKING INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY) has been in retail far longer than warhammer mmo was even conceived. So to call the Warhammer MMO " WoW Painted " is a fairly accurate assertion as the entire Warhammer MMO has strongly shared the user interface, some graphic styles, and largely the gameplay elements that WoW has become famous for.

4. Wtf does my avatar have to do with anything? notice you dont state any of the examples that compare accurately to saving private ryan... other than setting of WW2 please feel free to compare a movie that is anywhere near the musical score, direction, plot, writing, and acting as saving private ryan that is in WW2.
