its all pretend sir... EA under a different name is still EA and they will never allow developer control. For every original good idea there is a team at EA that will analyze it and make sure it maximizes profit. I remember Origin hinting to free content and things they planned to introduce in a publish.. Then it was quietly canned and those ideas materialized between two seperate expansions lord blackthornes revenge and age of shadows. fuck ea and I will never support any of their online endeavors. ( except kotor if it plays like kotor )

I finally cancelled a few days ago. I was only logging in to the fix our keep in case anyone sieged us while we were in Warhammer beta. The other night Funcom stealth fixed keeps and someone took it. That same week Sinister and DDH keeps fell. No one was even bothering to defend them everyone had pretty much quit the game.

There was so much potential but in the end it was just a huge cluster fuck. My last 30 minutes in the game I was one shot three times by gemmed out combo bug charging melees. No hope at all fighting them. I still think the first 20 levels in tortage were fun then it all went downhill from there.

So far Warhammer has been fun. I have my fingers crossed.

AoC dev team was led by Gaute' Godager (spelling) the same tool that damn near sunk AO. Guess what happens when you task a wanker with game development? Is anyone surprised? Not really.

I don't like the whole start-with-a-level-30-template thing that they currently running with in beta. I look forward to playing a level 1 char again on September 7th.
