As a tournament player, I never paid for games. I've probably played over 10k games in my home arena alone and have played in the most arenas of anyone in the US (67).... and almost all for free.

Once you're good and people start to know you, the paying stops.

Damn.. I gotta find a good lasertag place around here. I used to play about once a week, but the nearest place was an hour from my house. I never got in anything but first, but I wasn't really playing against pros so I'm not really sure if that means anything...

Not trying to thread jack but reading this made me think of my paintball days so I searched my team name and found some old pics of me and tourny rankings. We were like 13-14 years old and in Novice division but all the same it was competition and was a blast. I loved tourny so much but until you got into pro sponsorships the paint you went thru a day(2k-10k balls) at 60-80 dollars a case was to much to stick with.

Knowing your old team name would help to make the association.

I actually used to run "The Q-Zar Tournament Website" prior to running JoV. It's design is VERY old-internet looking with a lot of stupid animated gifs everywhere. But, if you're interested in old stats from my Q-Zar days:

The Q-Zar Tournament Website in the Tournament Results area.

Since most of the stats have individual as well as teams, you can tell what team I was on in basically every tournament. Since I was the captain I assigned myself the shit job that no one else wanted to do, so commonly wasn't high on the scoring since I get the offensive positions to others normally. I think the pentacle of my team achievement was Searcy 1997. Basically every big team that existed at the time showed up and we went 11-0. It was sweet.

Good times.

beh, I thought the team name was under the pic I posted. I was in Red Tyde, im pretty sure the team still exists somewhere between the Am-Pro level with none of the original members.
