Default What are your favorite single player PC games?

Im kinda sick of playing MMOs and I was trollin through some websites trying to find a cool single player RPG or adventure game without really finding anything I havent already played.

Anyway heres my favorite list of games that I've played through the years...

Fallout 1 & 2
Diablo I & II
Half-Life 1 & 2
Arx Fatalis
Dungeon Siege 1

Can anyone give me some ideas on what to play?

are you against the FPS type gameplay? If not, i highly recommend Bioshock and if you can get it to work, System Shock 2 (Bioshock is the "spiritual successor" to SS2)

You'll definitely get sucked into BioShock since it's more 'today'. System Shock 2... awesome. I remember back in the day buying 2 copies and getting the multiplayer patch to run through it co-op. That was FUN.

meh.. on bioshock... bioshock would be much more awesome if I hadnt played system shock 2. I hate when games dumb down their series.. see oblivion. Now dont get me wrong its a great game and very purty however its flaws really dont help make it shine for me. Vita chambers? ( i like challenge for single player, if i wanted respawns i would play Quake ) Boss battle? Ending? pfft....

I cant stress this enough if you havent played Deus Ex play it now.. not later... now

I am looking forward to fallout 3 though.. I think its going to be spectacular. I havent heard anything bad about it at all even from jaded gamers who have played it.

Might have a hard time getting them to run unless you want to use dosbox , but X-Wing and Tie Fighter are the reason I started playing PC games back in the day. Other than that, most have been mentioned. Fallout 1 & 2. Half Life 1 & 2. Portal is pretty fun, but a little short. Even the flash version is pretty cool:

Portal: Flash Version - Free Adventure Game from AddictingGames
