Figured i'd post this up since I know the WTFMan crew at one point did have a Grand Theft Auto server up before 6months-12 months ago but its no longer endorsed, however...

Yeah, I can't stand having to aim weapons with that damn thing. I'm a keyboard and mouse guy all the way.

I briefly thought about getting a keyboard/mouse adaptor for my 360, but I just can't justify spending $100 on it.... yet.

You cant afford to be confined to the PC anymore... even though it is coming to the PC which is awesome if they allow it to be modded or come with modding tools as not the multiplayer quickly becomes tiresome. But back to my previous statement; the state of PC gaming is on shaky ground so rarely does anything not come out on consoles first if not exclusively for 6-12 months in order to maximize profits. You might as well pick you up a 60gb 360 for 299.... cause things arent likely to get any better man..

I've been gaming since my xx386 days before DOS 6.1/Windows 3.1

Yeah, that's not too long ago, but i'm only 24 as well, I will never buy a console to "have fun" or to keep with the times.

Mouse and Keyboard, nuff said, consoles can take their controllers and shove it.

I remember when I was 13-14 years old playing UO 97-98 and conceptualizing a virtual reality/MMO system combo [.Hack Sign was a good way of describing my idea, but that Anime came out years after I started concept drafting.] While technology has made some amazing moves in the last 10 years [Remember when we thought it was impossible to go beyond the single core CPU/166Mhz/333Mhz/1Ghz/2Ghz, when 32MB video card was the shit, now if you have anything less than 512MB it's terrible]

Now we have quad cores at 2.5+ Ghz per and we have 2GB Video Cards, PCI-E slots, SLI, Etc

Touch / Holo systems are starting to make headlines.

With the Wii technology + a panoramic display for the head/eyes virtual reality can't be that far away.

I just hope 10 years from now we still aren't sitting at the PC with a keyboard and mouse, but rather logged into our favorite MMO in a massive low-grav padded room.

PS. I'm not crazy

Holodec 4tw.... ( and not the S T MMO ) bah..

anywho.. I know your stubbornness bro I feel your pain I used to be the same way. But there is just no denying what consoles and profits are doing to the PC.. you are starting to see big name game developers start releasing shovelware en masse to the Wii and why not the thing prints money... I am with yah though.. Even though I own everything but a Wii and PS3 ( never ! fu bluray ) I was raised on an Atari/Nintendo before a PC and will continue to play it all for the titles I cant get on PC.

But whats that law about processors and threads doubling every 2 years now? Its amazing at how fast technology is going.. I dont understand what we keep doing to keep up this advancement personally.. Was it just me, or did technology not seem to be going as fast as it is now just 15 years ago? Thats another thing I like about a console as well. They actually last as a 5 year investment and they dont become obsolete within 6 months like a pc.. I know I am exaggerating but still damn man.

Yep.

It'll be interesting to see how things progress in the next 10-20 years as far as gaming goes.

So far PC's have the flexibility. But consoles have the simple user interface and like Judas said... when you buy a console you're more or less guaranteed somewhere around 3-5 years before you're gonna have to trade up. Where as a PC, if you don't get the -exact- -right- -one-, you're dropping a solid thousand, give or take depending on the luxury items added, every upgrade.

I'm definitely excited about this. I've already been through the game on 360, but it's launching with "expanded" multi-player content for PC. The one thing lacking, combat, was improved greatly. I'm excited to see what the mod community does with it.

I knew it was just a matter of time, before it was finally released for the right gaming system. PC is the only platform I will ever bother with.
