honestly man THERE IS NOTHING TO FILL THE VOID.. nadda nothing zilch zip.. your either like me and been watching darkfall online awaiting our savior or you constantly try games you have beaten like uo and the like to find out that it isnt the same.. usually because the people you played those games with helped make the game..

me personally i play engrossing single player games and sit patiently..
i.e. spore, gta 4, the witcher, mass effect, or games that I havent gotten around to playing and wish I had which this is a perfect time for I highly recommend the adventure game by lucasarts Grim Fandango.. but i digress.

Is the Toondisney reference a joke? I'm seriousssssss
btw you should try Maniac Mansion if you like those wacky lucas arts games. It's an NES game.

yes it was..
did maniac mansion and its sequel. Loved em... I been thinking about DoSbox'n Monkey Island series. I love adventure puzzle games like that and grim fandango, hell anything done by Tim Shaufer.

if you all have xbox 360 I highly recommend getting psychonauts on xbox live.

I tell you a game that I would like to have is something direct x 9 or higher version of Crimson Skies, or X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter. Some awesome ass flight stick dogfighting. mmmm

Did anyone ever play the game Sanitarium ? American Mcgee Alice? Manhunt? That Japanese game where you take pictures of ghosts? ( I don't know the name, sorry? These aren't new but there's some single player games to waste time on.

yes i replayed sanitarium 2 months ago it hasnt aged very well, i still own alice, manhunt is decent, and Fatal Frame was pretty awesome and its sequel was even better.

Waste time on sins of a solar empire, or better still Galactic Civilizations 2: twilight of the arnor if you like 4x games (eXplore, eXpand, eXterminate, one more i am forgetting) like master of orion either one of those will eat your time like a homeless man for a hot dog.

time sinks are easy to find, good games not so much.

One other method is to find translated roms for emus, playing games from beloved series that never came over here ( secret of mana 3 )or ones you wanted to try but never did (bahumts lagoon) are good time wasters. or if you are like me and have a smartphone ( blackberry for me ) or a semi-powerful cellphone ( razr ) go and search for underground hacks and emus for your phone. You will be surprised what kinds of shit you can find. I was playing mike tyson's punch out on my blackberry curve in sociology class tuesday and thats epic win!

Mass Effect, it should start it's own franchise series. Blows away Final Fantasy.
