Console Modder

Hey guys, I had a friend drop me a line the other day saying that he still did console mods and had a website now. He put a chip in my PS2 a while back (and it still works I might add) so I thought I would recommend him here. He works on everything from a Wii all the way down to a PSP. I figure someone here can probably use his services.

I had a PS2 with the mod chip as well. I actually just sold it to a friend of mine since I hadn't played it in like 3 years.

Also still have a modded Xbox around here somewhere with a 120 GB hard drive in it. I have about 300 games backed up on DVD's.

This guy you are recommending does some pretty sodering work. I actually modded my first Xbox myself wit the soder mod...It wasn't very pretty but it worked. I then moved to the soderless mods (the ones with the pogo pins).

I haven't modded a 360 yet. I like to play on Live so I didn't want to take the risk of getting my console banned. I hear the 360 is easy as hell to mod since it is basically just a firmware flash.

You ever want to sell your xbox and backups just holler. Yah MS is very good at finding a modded console when connected to live. You might not get caught in 24 but 90% in 72 hours. Could always pick up a 199 arcade and mod it and swap the HDD from your other 360.

How does the wii stuff work, does it kinda function just like the old Xbox mods where you can put in a hard drive (I didn't think wii's had hard drives but I'm not sure) or does it just allow you to play burned discs?

Also, how often does the wii need to be updated online? I don't imagine I'd play online that much with a wii is why I ask.

I think they just allow the play of copied and homebrew games.

i know people who have had modded xbox360s undetected for over 3 years and play on live all the time..

A good friend of mine has gotten a hold of a bios flash modding kit and plans to mod his soon. I'll probably see how things go for them for a bit and then may consider it.

I thought about buying an Arcade version to use for modding, but think that might be Plan B, should I get caught.

People get caught for doing stupid shit like pirating and then playing games that aren't region free or playing them before they are released in stores etc..
